Editorial Reviews

See the movie that started the whole thing! Based on REAL UNSOLVED MURDERS that have taken place in Rest Areas all across America. Featuring all Detroit actors and bands like Mindcandy, Ray Street Park, Crazy Flying Giants, South Normal, The Twin Pigs and Blind Shame. Starring Jim Lewis and Richard E. Hardacre. Join Corporate Slave Productions as we take you on a twisted, cross country trip that ends in a rest area in the middle of Michigan.
"We captured a real nostalgic time period of America. All the rest areas we filmed in, on various locations, were built prior to 1980. To this day, they've all been torn down. We wanted each state to have it's own look, so we shot in Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. Plus, we have a lot of hot muscle cars, like a 70 Fastback Mustang."
-- Rich Hardacre

I rented in error. Watched a bit just to save face. This movie is a waste of money. Cheaply done junk.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent low budget thriller December 3, 2011
Format:Amazon Instant Video|Verified Purchase
A masterpiece by no means and really bad acting and predictable plot and storyline but still it has a low budget quality to it that makes it enjoyable fare for a decent horror movie night. Compared to the evil dead it's no match but it is still worth a watch.

1.0 out of 5 stars Like A Big Piece Of Crap, with sprinkes on top December 1, 2009
This was bad, extremely bad! When it comes to picking this movie apart, I don't even know where to begin.

First, let me get the positive out of the way. It is so terrible, that it actually has some entertainment value to it (like crap with sprinkes on top). But this wasn't done on purpose. Story . . .terrible and generic; effects . . . laughable, characters . . . .I found myself hating every single character and wanting everyone who was involved in this movie to get murdered . . .especially the director. And there contained some ridiculous flaws. For example, there is a character who is the spitting image of Jeff Foxworthy. As he is driving his car, he is blasting heavy metal music (yeah, Jeff Foxworthy just LOVES to rock!!). And this black woman was also listening to heavy metal (as she turns down the radio so she can talk to herself). But you knew it would be bad in the beginning when the word "starring" was spelled wrong. And at one point during the movie, the word "Michigan" was spelled wrong.

This movie was awful . . .I don't know what else to say. The only reason why I watched it was because a friend recommended it as a practical joke. DAMN HIM!!! Cause I will never get back the two hours that it took to watch this movie!!!!!
