This album is a breath of fresh air. All the songs sound really inspired, unlike their last album, Just Beautiful Music. I personally think this is the most solid release to come out so far this year. Great songs, great playing, and some great harmonies, too. I also just saw them play in Portland, OR a couple of nights ago and they were fantastic. I had just gotten out of the Beck acoustic show, which I thought was going to be the show of the year, and it was good, but the Gas Huffer show proved to be the more exciting and emotionally charged show of the night. I was really moved by their performance of Crooked Bird, the first track on their best album, One Inch Masters, which is sadly out of print. Such a treat to watch such a fine band. Anyways, buy this album. It will make you happy.
