Editorial Reviews

Graveyard Shift formed in the summer of 2001 in a basement in the suburbs of Seattle, WA initially to re-kindle the ashes of a dying scene left by bands such as Los Gatos Locos, and The Spectres. They began writing dark rock and roll and tales of horror. Little did they know the path it would lead them. Nicky Nightmare (drums), Ben Grimm (bass), and Murder Mike (Vocals), who were friends from previous bands, began searching for a unique guitar sound. They found none other than guitarist Chainsaw Chad, whose eerie licks would bring their sound to a whole darker level. Two tracks from which were to be issued on a compilation CD for a short-lived independent label. In August 2002 they issued the split-release, Mutilated Melodies with New Mexico’s 12 Step Rebels and in October 2004 joined the Dead Body Wreckerds family for their full-length debut, Rest Without Peace. --This text refers to an alternate Audio CD edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like your psychobilly fast and dark...., May 21, 2006

...this is for you. Graveyard Shift is so refreshing in a sea of clones. The Misery of War, Decapitate You, Virgin Blood, The End Of The World, and The Waltz Of The Wisconsin Woman-Skinner all rock. Seriously, this is not gabage background music. If you like The Meteors, Mad Sin, or old Nekromantix, you'll love this album. It doesn't get any darker or better.
