The main reason I bought this entire disc is for track #3 - JOY! I heard this song on the radio as I was driving to work & it just uplifted my spirits and put me in a positive mindset before I entered my workplace.

I'd never heard of Niyoki before but was confident that based on what I'd heard and the dj's endorsement that I'd enjoy it. I know that it's debatable in some churches whether this type of contemporary gopel music crosses the line and veers too far towards the secular sounds of r&b and hip hop but I love both traditional and contemporary gospel music and see how the modern songs speak to the younger people in church - they listen to the lyrics which helps them receive the word in a better frame of mind.

Niyoki's voice is joyous & angelic and the fact that she co-wrote on almost all of the tracks really helped sell the songs to me.

The standout track is JOY but the others that I find so moving & uplifting are: ALL THAT I HAVE; I WILL REST; SO GLAD YOU DECIDED
(reprise); I WANNA; FOREVER, PTS I & II and I WIN.

After listening to Niyoki's latest CD "REST" I was blown away by her sweet, smooth, silky yet powerful and inspirational voice. To hear such a beautiful voice coming from such a beautiful face was a double treat for me. Niyoki is the next "big" thing in comtemporary christian music.

I loved how fast I received it and the music and the talent she shows is excellent. I listen to it everyday at work and at home! Really is an uplifting CD!

I have both of Niyoki's CDs..."My Everything" and "Rest".

I must say that based on the sound and lyric quality of the cd "Rest", she has grown tremendously in her walk with the Lord since the cd release of "My Everthing"...don't get me wrong..."My Everything" is a great project too...but "Rest" is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! The songs take you into the very presence of God and minister to your entire being...

I had just been listening to "I Will Rest" moments before I got news that my mother was rushed to the hospital with a head injury! That song ministered God's peace to me, and I was able to simply 'rest' in HIM by remembering what God promises in His Word! I knew that HE had my mother in His hands and she would recovery fully! (And she did!)

I am blessed each time I listen to this CD. From "Where Would I Be" to "Joy" to "I Win" to "Never Gave Up" and especially "I Will Rest", I know that you will be blessed after hearing this CD too.

Thanks to Niyoki for being a vessel used by God to minister and encourage His people! I am looking forward to more wonderful melodies from her in the future!!!
