About the Author

Dr. Reginald W. Bibby, Ph. D., is the foremost expert on the sociology of religion in Canada. He holds the Board of Governors Research Chair of the Sociology Department, University of Lethbridge. Since the 1970s he has been monitoring social trends in Canada through a series of well-known national surveys of adults and young people that are the envy of survey researchers everywhere for their scope and richness. His efforts to make his findings widely accessible have resulted in eight best-selling books, including Fragmented Gods, Unknown Gods, Teen Trends, and Canada's Teens. Over the years, he has become familiar to Canadians as well through his extensive national and regional media appearances and presentations from coast to coast.
