5.0 out of 5 stars Invaluable advice for every working person of every age regardless of what work you do!, February 15, 2009
This review is from: Restore Yourself: The Antidote for Professional Exhaustion (Paperback)
Edy Greenblatt's Restore Yourself-The Antidote For Professional Exhaustion, is both a guide to learn how to identify those people, places, and things in your life that energize you or drain your energy, and a handbook that helps you begin to use this knowledge in practical ways to improve every aspect of your life. 'Restore Yourself' is presented in a style that at once put me at ease while reading it, more like a novel than a text. Although I did have to reread some of the dialogue sections to be clear about who was speaking, I found myself having one 'eureka' moment after another. Not satisfied with just presenting the information, to let it leak back out of my brain, Dr Greenblatt offers work space and a step by step method to put this information into practice. A must have and definite resource for desktop reference. Reading this book I was reminded of those folks I have known who have literally worked themselves to death. Restore Yourself illustrates that burning the candle on both ends and in the middle is not the best route to optimize productivity. It teaches that the better you know how to manage and increase your personal resources, the more energy you can devote to those things most important to you! This book brings the message home in a very clear and easy to grasp way, that not only shares great value but is enjoyable to read. Handy to travel with you to school, the office, or on a flight, don't hesitate to get a copy TODAY. I have already seen great results from putting the information revealed in Restore Yourself into practice in my life! You really owe this one to yourself!!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book - a must read "manual" for recharging yourself, April 4, 2009
By
Meagan (New York, NY USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Restore Yourself: The Antidote for Professional Exhaustion (Paperback)
The claims in this book are so refreshingly simple that anyone can read it, yet they are profound enough that they will have a real impact on your life. Restore Yourself is a manual for finding the things that you love and using them to recharge your energies. It's about using those things to heal yourself from the exhaustion of the everyday so you can be more productive and do more of what you love. This is NOT another book about finding balance, it's a realistic account of what happens to people emotionally in today's busy world, and how to work with the chaos not against it. A MUST read for anyone yearning fulfillment and struggling to keep up - and the best part is, it's free of fluff and wordiness and will take just a few short hours to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Guaranteed to "jump start" your enthusiasm for work again and recognize your capabilities, February 17, 2010
This review is from: Restore Yourself: The Antidote for Professional Exhaustion (Paperback)
This is a fun read with a wealth of specific worthwhile information and advice. It's brief and written in a very straight-forward and easy to understand style. Contains many pearls, regardless of your profession, and is certain to raise your level of enthusiasm for your work, while helping to recognize and appreciate your strenghts and weaknesses. The perfect remedy for "burnout" and the format (dialogue on the airplane) was unique and added to my enjoyment of the book. I recommend this, as well as any other work by Edy Greenblatt, without hesitation.
