While this book shows what can be done with antiques, it has no detail, so one needs to be already experienced - then one does not need this book- or enjoy looking at what other people does, cause that's as far as it goes.

I thought this book provided very good introduction to antique furniture repair techniques. Many scenarios of distressed furniture are provided. However, some of the repair methods presented in the book are very challenging and would a take very skillfull craftsman to implement. I think this book would be an excellent source for identifying the type of repair that is needed but if you are a novice much, much more follow up research and practice would be required before you'd be able to make some of the more difficult repairs.

This book would be an really good reference source if you have an antique piece and you would like to have it professionally repaired. It would give you a very good idea what would go into (and should go into) a professional repair job on antique furniture.

I found that this book has alot of information to take in. It has been helpful to me as a lot of old chair that I get need fixing and I am now more able to do it correctly.
