Restoring Dignity & Leadership [Paperback]

Book Description

April 20, 1999
RESTORING DIGNITY & LEADERSHIP is a short, simple, and straight-forward guide (how-to manual) for first-time supervisors and a refresher course in basic leadership principles for more experienced leaders. The qualities of leadership and dignity can give people the capacity to identify and rectify the majority of daily struggles and worker distraction.

This book dispels the myths of empowerment, customer service, and quality competitions. These concepts have been turned, twisted, repackaged, and resold with minimal results for years. The reader will benefit by understanding the truth about what real personal value is and how to obtain it. It extols the benefits of individual responsibility and self-reliance. It explains in easy-to-read fashion why America is struggling to regain its greatness, how American ingenuity has been "engineered out of the workplace" and what basic traits (leadership) seem to be missing. It explains the Who, What, When, Where, and Why of leadership necessary for any supervisor to be truly successful while adding value to others as well. It will help re-educate society to the work ethic and dignity of our forefathers.

About the Author

As the owner of B&K Solutions, L.C., specialists in alternative dispute resolution, workplace organization, and conflict resolution and a certified mediator and negotiator, I started doing volunteer work as a mediator in my spare time. That work developed into a vocation. With extensive training and experience in leadership, I have spent significant time and resources over twenty years attempting to implement so-called "modern management systems." My leadership training started while serving in the military during the Vietnam War. I subsequently obtained a direct commission and retired as a Colonel from the US Army after 34 years of service. I hold a Masters Degree in Organizational Management and have extensive experience in managing organizations at the local, state, and national level.

I look forward to your comments.

Regards,
Bart O. Davis
