I don't actually restore teddy bears (at least, not yet, thankfully), but this book opened up a whole new appreciation for me in the craftsmanship and nuanced details that go into a masterful teddy bear. I bought this book to research how teddy bears were made for a story about an antique teddy bear. But I came away with a much deeper appreciation of the archetype that was discovered and perfected over a century ago. I think it's fair to say the teddy bear has remained in the same sublime state to the degree in which the original form and construction is followed.

I have many books on how to make teddy bears and I bought this one to tell how to take care of them. From dusting them to repairing some of the old Steiff bears and cats that I have. This book is very helpful with great hints to make sure that yard sale find does not infest the rest of a collection. The pictures are great, old stuffed friends brought back to life. Even a treasured friend chewed up by Rover is not the end, this book shows how to bring him back from the brink. For that stuffie who has has lots of love or the Collection that you want to keep looking good this book has the help you need.
