5.0 out of 5 stars Satisfied
I bought this title on a whim. I had heard a little of Ben Kwellers new album "SHA SHA" and desided to order it and this title to see what I thought.

I am glad that I got this title. The music is excellent and Ben Kwellers vocals are superb. The songs on this album will keep you rocking all day. I found it to be a superb driving cd.

Go get your copy...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing original here...
Radish is a very tight band, and their songs are ok...but I can't really find anything new or exciting here. Very formulaic punk/pop. Not bad, exactly, just not outstanding in any way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Radish is the coolest band to ever come out of Texas!, June 12, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Restraining Bolt (Audio CD)
I bought the Radish CD after I listened to my friend talk nonstop about it for months. Luckily, it was well worth it. The songs are all great, especially "Little Pink Stars" and "Sugar Free", and the band is equally great in concert. What knocked me out the most is the ability of the lead singer/songwriter Ben Kweller. Now here's someone we'll be hearing about in years and years to come!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Work of Art, January 3, 2002

I bought this CD way back when it first came out because I adored "Little Pink Stars". When I got home and listened to the whole thing I just fell in love with Radish. This CD is something you can listen to at anytime and find whatever you're in the mood for. You can listen to songs like "Sugar Free", "Little Pink Stars", or "My Guitar" and totally rock out. Then you can turn it to something like "Apparition of Purity", "A Promise", or "Simple Sincerity" to kick back and relax. All and all, this is one of my favorite CD's. It's well worth the money. Buy it...NOW!(heehee)

5.0 out of 5 stars Radish - Restraining Bolt review, July 21, 2007
This review is from: Restraining Bolt (Audio CD)
It is very hard to come by an actual copy of this CD. It was a favorite of mine when I was in High School and I still love it. Ben Kweller was only 15, if I am not mistaken, when they recorded this album. It features such hits as: Little Pink Stars, Dear Aunt Artica, My Guitar, and Sugar Free!. I was heart broken when Mercury Records dropped the band while recording their second album, which was to be called "Sha Sha". Anyways, if you are a fan of Ben Kweller or 90's Alternative Rock, this is a great buy. Especially since it is now a rare CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Radish is Great, November 12, 2001
This review is from: Restraining Bolt (Audio CD)
I first saw Radish on David Letterman and I thought they were amazing. I wasn't even gonna stay up but I figured "what the heck". I heard them play "My Guitar" which is an outstanding song. Being a guitar player and one who has had many failed relationships I could really relate to the lyrics and the music was great too. I also thought that it was really amazing how young the musicians were. I tried to find the cd but it was like no one had ever heard of them. I guess it's cool to like a band not too many people know. Anyway I finally found it on tape and bought it. Turns out that all of the songs on the album are great and it was worth every penny. (...)Buy it now!! It is great!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Radish is the best band out there., September 16, 1999

I love Radish! I got their CD after reading about them in a magazine and loved every song. They have been my absolute favorite ever since. I would chose them over just about every mainstream band out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best grunge album since Pearl Jam's "Ten.", August 11, 1999

Radish's Ben Kweller is an amazing song writer and Radish has amazing talent. These guys are going places. It also helps that drummer John Kent is prett damn hot. Today's Bargain is all-too-true teenage rock anthem. Dear Aunt Arctica is very sad but very well written. My Guitar is, in my opinion, the best song on the album, because Ben talks about his friendship with his guitar and everything related to that topic.

An awesome album from this teenage trio from Texas. They rip though your speakers with anthems like Today's Bargain and Bedtime to the sweet ballads of Still I Wait and Appoxmation of Purity to catchy radio songs like Simple Sincerity and Failing and Leaving. An alternative music epic!!

This review is from: Restraining Bolt (Audio CD)
Ben Kweller ads lyrics to his already amazing musical background to get anyone out there to buy his next album. Its such a joy to find that one cd that will never leave your record player for as long as you love music. I would recomend anyone to buy this cd, and get it before that little pink star flies away.
