A great starter book for your career library...,

I really like this little book. One reason I like it is that it's not very long, so it's easily digestible, in a couple of sittings. At the same time, it provides tons of tips for writing the best resume possible. It even provides a number of examples of both good and "bad" resumes. Plus... there's a chapter on cover letters too. If you don't have a lot of money to spend, this book is a great place to start building your career library. I used it in the past & it helped me launch a new career!

I picked up this book used to get me started writing my first resume. It offered serveral examples of good resumes, along with a few bad. It also offered examples of cover letters. I found the book very informative. The introduction set a good foundation for me to focus on while writing the resume. I was very happy with the results and would definitely recommend this book.

This review is from: The Resume Handbook: How to Write Outstanding Resumes & Cover Letters for Every Situation (Paperback)
it basically is a series of bad resumes and good resumes. No real direct help in terms of resume writing. Just read the whole thing and infer lessons from each example. I was more hoping to see some more direct information or advice. How to approach each section of a resume etc.
