This outstanding series gives PBS's "American Family" a run for its money as the finest series about a typical, all-American family. Superbly acted across the board, from proud, tough-love Patriarch Roberto (the excellent Tony Plana), struggling sister-in-law Bibi (Elizabeth Pena - why isn't this woman a star?) and her loving son Tommy (the underrated Douglas Spain) to always-reliable veterans Rita Moreno and Glynn Turman... this series strikes gold on all counts, from the fine acting and directing to the smart scripts and warm designs. Let's hope Paramount resurrects seasons two and three on DVD in the not-too-distant-future. It's impossible not to fall in love with these characters. Bravo!

I would definately have to say this is my favorite show EVER, not only because they have such great actors and wonderful plots, but becuase of the way these characters relate and how they overcome difficulties in their lives, i come from a mexican american family and can really relate to this T.V show because obviouslly, this family is very close and so is mine. Im very upset that they cancelled this show, they should really reconsider making a whole new season and just advertise it alot better...im very sure that the public would love it and not get enough of it.

I was running out of movies to rent so I just happened to check out this series. I was totally impressed! I couldn't get enough. I have been a fan of boxing for quite some time and this show kept me wanting to see the next episode. When is season 2 coming out? The actors are absolutely georgeous too!!!

This was a great show. Since I have the blockbuster movie ticket, I can rent as many movies as I like. Recently I've been renting TV shows. At first I didnt even look at renting this. I'll be truthful. I didnt believe I would like a film made up of all latinos. I didnt think I could relate to it. I was definitely wrong. I enjoyed everything about it. The acting and storyline was awesome. It wasnt just about boxing. It was about family struggles. I literally watched every episode back to back. I liked how it showed how mexicans valued their family. That's one thing I wish the white culture could do better. I've read most of the reviews and they are mostly written by mexicans. I wanted to write one so all other cultures would know this is a great show regardless of what race you are. I cant believe they cancelled this show. Maybe if they advertised the show differently, other races would have given it a chance. For example, the titles of each show was written in spanish. I couldnt even tell you what they said. Well its sad that it was cancelled though. I wanted to see the sons and the father get together again and win the world title.

I recently got this DVD and I love the series but feel that they could have done a much better job in releasing the DVD.

It seems that none of the episodes have chaptering. That's not so great when an episode is just under 60 minutes. If you end up getting interrupted (as I always seem to do) you then have to start looking from the beginning of the episode for where you left off.

There are no subtitles. This series is mostly in English but includes a lot of Spanish dialogue. Subtitles here in one or the other or both of those languages would be great. I speak English (y un pequeño espanol) but I would definately benefit from subtitles so that I can pick up the dialogue that goes by too quickly for me.

I've got no complaints with the quality of the video transfer or the sound both are crisp and well done.

I love Resurrection Blvd and I personaly think it may have been one of the best shows on television, which of course explains why it was cancelled. So, I could live with the cancellation if only they'd release the complete series on DVD. So far they've done Season 1 and only Season 1 leaving a lot of people hanging. And its going on 3 years now. My fear of course is that they've completely forgotten about the show and some of us will never see the end. If you want it released, please consider signing this petition so we can get the ball rolling and finally get Seasons 2 & 3 out there. Thanks.

This series is the most OUTSTANDING and INSPIRATIONAL series I have ever seen. I have followed this series from it's beginning to it's last season, and anxiously awaited a new season. I recommend this series for all generations, Abuelitos, Tias/Tios, Primos/Primas, Hijos/Hijas, Nietos y Amigos (Grandparents, Aunts/Uncles, Cousins, Sons/Daughters, Grandchildren and Friends )as it truly represents and depics the importance of family loyalty, support and love of life we all share. Although the focus is directed toward Latinos, anyone who has a dream or who has set goals for themselves will be able to relate to this family.
I can't wait for the remaining seasons to become available so I can buy them too. I plan to pass them on from generation to generation.
I would love to see it come back!!!!

This is without a doubt, the single best series I have ever seen. Everyone I know that has seen this series has absolutely loved it! My family was EXTREMELY disappointed to find out this show was cancled. The acting and the characters were incredible. This show will keep you thinking and craving more.

I love...absolutely love this show and was VERY upset when Shotime decided to cancel the series. I was even more disturbed by the "explaination" that they posted on their website. With all that out of the way...

This is a show that can be loved by anyone...latino or not. This show leaves you wanting more. It also carried an amazing message throughout each episode...despite where you are from you can be anything you fight to be...and more importantly (and sometimes lacking in people's lives) through all your ups and downs at the end of the day tu familia will always be there.

this show is amazing with drama,action,etc... this show has the best actor/actress and the best good looking latino guys that make you say wow.
If you havent seen it yet, just buy it because when you watch the show you're going to love all 3 seasons all full of action and drama from the begining to the end.
