Product Description
In 'Resurrection of Liberty' Daniel Foster discovers a family secret that is so shocking, it will affect the future of the entire galaxy. While on an innocent road trip with his two best friends, his grandfather’s old car, almost having a mind of its own, whisks the trio out of the confines of their home planet to a cloaked starship that has remained hidden behind the moon for over fifty years. In trying to return home the three friends plunge deeper into space ultimately meeting the race that had sent his grandfather to Earth on a critical mission a generation before. Yet, to their dismay, they learn that by awakening the old ship they have hastened the peril of their own home. Now, far away from his family, Daniel must accept his destiny and dig deep inside himself to muster the confidence needed to rally his new alien friends to help save Earth—and ultimately the galaxy.

Freedom has been leached from the galaxy and replaced with slavery, oppression, and destruction. All the known worlds have been overrun by the Gaarich. This is the setting for the riveting science fiction adventure novel Resurrection Of Liberty by Michael L. Wentz. Daniel Foster is a young man who awakens his grandfather's old ship as the Gaarich turn their sights toward Earth. Daniel has no intention of being a hero. But fate has other plans for him as the destiny of Earth and the liberation of a galaxy hangs in the balance of his decisions. Resurrection Of Liberty is an original, deftly written, and thoroughly entertaining novel of action and adventure which can be enthusiastically recommended for science fiction fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars When's the movie coming out? February 4, 2007
By Wade B.
Format:Hardcover
You know when you read a book and it does a great job of painting pictures in your head of what is going on? This is one of those books where you can immerse yourself in the story, and see, feel, hear, all the things going on.

Great read, interesting story, ended up reading it fast because I picked it up every free moment I had.

Good story for all ages in my humble opinion.

3.0 out of 5 stars Loved this kind of yarn 50 years ago June 25, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a not-bad story of daring-do. Just rather juvenile. I read it all and thought is was rather fun, but mostly a slightly different version of an old story. you know-- Teens get the opportunity to save the world and rise both beyond their capacity and to the occasion. Still, if you are just seeking a few hours of fun reading, it's better in the regard than Pasternik.

When I was a teen, I probably would have loved it. But that was long ago and now it proved to be a bit juvenile for my taste. I was too difficult to suspend reality enough to really buy in.

Still, the writing wasn't bad and the story was adequate to carry a novella quite well. I wouldn't say NO to it at the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Uplifting, Fast Paced, and Just Terrific!!!!! November 27, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I was so pleased to come across this book. I was looking for an uplifting story that was, well... just a great story! This book is a perfect escape from the stresses of everyday life and took me on a fun adventure with some great characters. It's very fast paced and held my attention page after page. I think it's a great young adult book, but would recommend it to just about anyone at any age looking for a good, solid story. Highly, highly recommended!!!!

Very fun book. Certainly a little bit formulaic at times but it did not detract from the story. Well worth the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable light read September 19, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
this book was just what I was looking for during my vacation with a good story and likeable characters. I would have liked to see more detail on the ships and how the alien civilization is different from earths civilization. The book also felt too short and I strongly recommend that the author goes for a series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok.
I was hoping for a less campy book. It is good for light reading but lacked character flow, too predictable.
