This product was exactly what it was stated to be. It was in excellent condition and the price was absolutely cost efficient. The price for the book was lower than the shipping and handling.

Simplistic but a few decent ideas,
By Colin (Manchester, UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Retaining Top Employees (Briefcase Books) (Paperback)
Leslie McKeown a former accountant, has more recently moved into the training field, writing books on mentoring, orientation and retention. This book Retaining Top Employees is a quick read, with few answers to the real difficulties of keeping hold of key people; alternatively, it may be deliberately aimed at employers who are so inept at retaining employees that almost anything would improve the situation.
Perhaps the most surprising thing about this book is that the title and the content don't really match. The title would lead you to believe that the book is about talent retention and yet the content is targeted at employee retention. If you are interested in retaining top employees then this is not the book for you. In simple terms, if you have never read anything about employee retention, you may pick up a few useful ideas from this book. If you are interested enough in the subject to read a book then Leigh Branham has a couple that are far superior. Even the best selling Love 'Em Or Lose 'Em is a superior book. Then there's the likes of Phillips and Connell. As for talent retention, you'd be far better off reading about negotiation, about dialogue and so on.
