Delivered fast and holds my access cards and office keys; the cord is long enough to allow using
them even if the holder is attached to my rear pockets and the spring mechanisms works perfectly
after ~8 weeks of daily use. I am happy with this product.

Overall I.m very happy. The only thing I would warn against is that the "retension" on the clip is pretty low. In that I mean you cannot have to much weight on it or it cannot retract. On my unit I keep one key, a card, and a wireless unit "like a car remote" and it has a hard time with that.

My job requires wearing a magnetic ID/smart key card, and I like having the ability to keep it clipped to my belt instead of around my neck with one of those irritating lanyards, yet not having to unclip the thing when it's time to punch the clock in or out using the ID card. A surprisingly good convenience to have when you have the need to swipe a card reader machine on the wall so frequently.

Been using the retractable for about 6 weeks and am impressed with its performance. I lost my cell phone while working and I am using the retractable reel holder as a back-up for the clip on my cell phone holster. Initially I regretted buying the smaller size; but, this little 1" giant does the job without complaining. Several times the holster has been knocked off my belt and the retractable has saved the day.

Mandatory for employment, we wear our identities visibly at all times. A badge with photo and name strapped to us like tagged cattle. It's required to get through parking gates and doors.

I wanted to replace my company issued reel with this longer 30" reel. I must have ripped through a dozen dinky short ones.

Now, not only can I reach the receiver from inside my car while attached to my belt loop, but the extra reach allows me to I win every helicopter fight.

These are much more durable then promotional give aways that most people have. I hightly recommend them.

I thought I would be okay ordering this product because of the solid ratings/reviews, but was very disappointed in what I received. First off, when you open the package, it definitely looks like you paid less than 2 bucks for it. Secondly, within a week of using it the covering on the string detached and now bunches up inside of the casing. It is still technically functional, but when you pull it out it catches and jams on where the string cover is bunched up.

Bought this one based off of all the high reviews. On the 2nd day of use (3 total ID pulls/ retractions) it will no longer retract at all. The search continues...

I inherited my reel from an employee who retired, and only just found that it was one of these when looking for a similar reel for a co-worker. I don't know how long the last guy used it, but it's still doing great for me (and I use it more than most would to badge into places).

I'm surprised that they sell for so little.

For my job I have a few different cards I need to have on me at all times and I can't stand to have things around my neck. The retractable lanyard is long enough that I can pull the badge away from my hip, where it is clipped to my pocket, and reach the time clock and all door locks without having to hug the wall or door. Wonderfully convenient and has stood up to 6 months of full time use.
