5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the lot so far
I admit I'm a ZipLinq junkie. I have dozens of ZipLinq and ZipLinq-like cables. This is the third ipod-to-usb cable I've purchased (not to be confused with the ipod-to-phono I got from CompUSA = crazy delicious) and it's best in show. The others eventually failed. The first, a unit almost identical to this with a slightly different housing for the cable, became...

I use my Ipod at the office and at home and soon grew tired of carrying the USB/charging cord back and forth so I ordered this Retractable USB Cable. It seemed like a bargain, but it was defective. I attached it to the same Ipod and same computer that I use with the other cord. It simply did not make the connection. I exchanged it for my regular cord and there was no...

The first, a unit almost identical to this with a slightly different housing for the cable, became capable of charging the ipod, but not syncing. The second, a unit whose housing was about twice the size of this one (in the scale of the power cables and heavy-duty USB 2.0 cables from ZipLinq) just fell apart.

So far, this one's gone to 2 countries, 4 states in the US, and lived in my day-to-day work back. It's never failed and it's size is just right.

I attached it to the same Ipod and same computer that I use with the other cord. It simply did not make the connection. I exchanged it for my regular cord and there was no problem connecting. I did this twice, on two different computer and this flexible cord did not work. Returns are easy with Amazon so I returned it for a refund and bought a slightly more expensive cord.

Works great for me and fit my 60g w/ video iPod perfectly. I was worried because it was so cheap, but I have no complaints at all.

i bought this in place of a USB key

i always have my ipod at school and i have been needing someplace to store my documents

this is good because i now have 20gb of free space, more than any of my friends

the whole cable was too much of a hastle and this makes things so much easier

and the usb2.0 is as fast as the regular cable

good product, hasnt failed me yet

product works good so far but it is incredibly short, its about a foot long, maybe a little more. other than that it seems to work good, charges good, and syncs just fine as far as i can tell

This little thing is a saver - carry it in my laptop bag with my iPod everywhere. It charges off USB (nano or 3G iPod) and allows me to keep the playlists fresh. Spring stayed springy, so refreshing to not have snarly cords everywhere. My nano is black, but oh well...

Doesn't work as advertised. Although it seems to work at first, if I leave my IPOD connected to the computer with this cable overnight, then when I come back my IPOD battery is completely dead. The apple cable works perfectly, but it doesn't retract like this one does.

It doesn't work properly. I can charge the Ipod but it doesn't let me sync. Sent an email to the seller but no answer so far!

I am very disappointed with my purchase!

Mine works great. My cats tend to snack on my iPod cords, so this model was a great choice. I can leave it plugged into my computer all the time, and they can't break it...well, they haven't yet at least. Works well, it's compact, convenient, and it does what it's supposed to do...can't complain!

Item may not be built to millitary standards, but if you don't mistreat it, it will last and work just as well as any Ipod cable. Mine has been working great for some time now.
