The first time my dog pulled on this, the plastic joint between the ribbon and string broke. I tied the ribbon to the string. The next time the dog pulled I pushed the stop button; the stopper striped out. My dog is energetic, but only weighs 40 lbs.

Stripped out within a couple of months and my dog only weighs a little over 20 pounds... she's strong but that shouldn't have happened. Pretty crappy leash.

This is a very great leash. I have a reagular leash that is only about 3 feet long. Then I took care of my neighbor's dog I used her retractable lead. I noticed such a difference!
