Belgium design retractable, single line extends to any length up to 49 feet (15m) - long enough to carry an entire laundry load! Pastel blue case is made of high-impact plastic. The reel inside stores vinyl-coated, 0.14" diameter polyester clothes line neatly and tangle free. The polished metal bracket mounts on any hard surface that can take a mounting hole and screw. Install the screw hook up to 49 feet away on a sturdy wall joist. Hardware is included. Simply pull out the line and slip the loop over the screw hook. To hold the line taught at any length, just wrap the line around the cleat molded in the bottom of the blue case. To rewind the line, remove the line from the cleat and lift the loop from the screw hook. The reel does the rest! Fold the case against the wall when not in use.

This piece of garbage broke the very first time I used it. The crimp that holds the loop on the end of the line gave way and my bed sheets ended up on the ground. I had been using a retractable clothesline with a different design for several years before this and I will be going back to that one once I put this one in the trash.

The first time we used it the loop held for only a few minutes, and we wound up with a dozen T-shirts on the grass. To finish the drying, I tied the rope in a knot onto the hook, and it held up for the rest of the day.

The reason for a loop is precisely to avoid tying a knot every time the line is used. A piece of garbage!
