Kirk Stebbings after murdering the owner of a newly discovered gold mine, takes control of the nearby town of Black Gap, Arizona. Recruiting local workers to exploit the mine, he is aided by sundry gun-hawks and by his young stepson Hank. Stebbings soon meets opposition from the ranger and saloon owner with violent reprisals.
