By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Retriever Troubleshooting: Strategies & Solutions to Retriever Training Problems (Paperback)
Most retrievers are eager to retrieve but there still can be problems training them to do so properly, even in advanced settings. Retriever Trouble-Shooting: Strategies & Solutions To Retriever Training Problems comes from the authors of highly acclaimed training manual, The 10-Minute Retriever and offers the authors' own experiences and expertise in handling typical problems and coaching owners on retrievals covering many a long distance. Chapters cover line manners, bird handling, force-fetching and more, making Retriever Trouble-Shooting a 'must' for any owner or handler engaged in training a superior retriever dog.

This review is from: Retriever Troubleshooting: Strategies & Solutions to Retriever Training Problems (Paperback)
The author spends 10,000 words per tip. No real secrets revealed here. You get so sleepy reading by the time you get to the training method it is easily missed. (and
there aren't that many). I'd say there is nothing here that will actually help you with that fine tuning you are looking for, and the tips that are given are not that helpful |
