I love retro stuff from my childhood so when a friend recommended this book I was all over it. Wow, talk about bringing back wonderful memories from when I was a kid! The very first recipe, rice pudding, is probably the exact recipe my grandma used. Another favorite of mine are the sour cream cookies which are so tasty. I also like that the author gives you a bit of history with each recipe. It helps connect you with what was happening at the time and may help bring back some cherished memories for you too.

5.0 out of 5 stars So Pleased I Purchased! July 11, 2012

This recipe book is now firmly ensconced on my iPad and opened regularly for great dessert ideas. 1966 Sour Cream Cookies (Perfect) - This year saw the birth of my sister, Mum really busy at home, average new house price in the UK Ł4000 and best of all Roger Moore in 'The Saint' started on TV!

The snippets of info with each of these recipes is a definite trip down memory lane. Delicious desserts with Lemon Torte a real favorite with me. I seriously recommend a look through all recipe books in Lee Anne's series.
