The description for these easy to assemble stools was not accurate regarding the height of the stool. However the merchant acknowledged the error and offered a complete refund and free return shipping. espie this offer , since I was unable to find replacements at the same price, I simply cut six inches off of the bottom of the legs to get the 24" high stools I was looking for. This was easy enough with a metal cutting blade on a power miter saw. The plugs still fit just fine and nobody who has seen them has suspected the modification. Aside from the height error, the stools look great alongside the custom restaurant quality fifties booth tables that were much higher priced than the stools. We rate these items overall a good buy whether looking for 24" high stools (that they were modified to) or the 30" high stools that are sold.

I got my boyfriend the fountain table that came with two barstools for Christmas and he loved it. I decided he needed two more just to make it a full set. He loves the retro look. They came quickly in the mail and the instructions were very clear. Thank you!
