20 years ago when I started to shave I used double edge blades. In the 90's, I started to stress shave using cartridge razors. I never really liked those cartridge razors. A shave from a Gilette Fusion or Wilkinson Xtreme was never as close as I wanted it to be. Blades were expensive and not durable. Shaving was not fun anymore.

A couple of weeks ago I decided to go back to good old DE. I bought Weishi razor, some Feather blades and Taylor of Old Bond Street Shaving Cream and got pleasently surprised. Shaving with this Weishi razor was ure joy. The razor is not overly agressive but with ultra sharp Feather blades I could achieve very close shave, much closer than with any cartridge blades I've ever tested. This is a highly recommended product.

I just bought this one after reading about wet shaving in ReadyMade Magazine. In addition i bought a shaving brush and a shaving soap bar from Herban Cowboy. I just got the best shave of my life. It's so gentle and i had NO razor burns for the first time in my life! I can't believe that Gilette has a total hold on the market with those useless triple blades. Old school wet shaving is the way to go!

In our world it seems to be go go go! With this beauty I take my time and enjoy the shaving process again. The razor is well balanced and the blades are very forgiving. Have also tried the Derby and the Feather blades with my Weishi with great success. Excellent value and quality.

I have always hated to shave. I mean it's tedious and often causes cuts and nicks (how very unladylike). And yet, being from a family where women are still women, I wouldn't dare walk out that door showing hair that was not on my head.

I have tried every razor under the sun (and waxing to boot). Shaving has always brought on horrifying cases of razor burn. I even ended up spending an afternoon soaking my legs in freezing water to bring down the swelling before a night out. I turned to waxing. It was a great alternative until I got my credit card bill. Unwilling (and unable) to spend that much on beauty, I stumbled upon the RetroRazor.

The RetroRazor means I can shave, without razor burn, with very little monetary expense to myself. My legs are just as smooth as waxing, but without the painful ripping and the even more painful bill. Whoever says this is a man's razor, has not met my legs. I recommend RetroRazor to every lady looking for the smoothness of a wax, without the pain and financial burden.

I used a man's metal razor for years. It was the only darn thing that managed to give my legs a clean shave. It didn't gunk up, it was sturdy, and I loved that I didn't have to shave the same area ten times. Why, oh why, I thought, did the razor people think that women (who have more surface area to shave) desire cheap little pink plastic razors or ginormous goo-encrusted plastic monstrosities that require $10 replacement blades?

Retro Razor is THE BEST. I bought one for my significant other and let's just say that it's MINE now. It's sturdy metal and it doesn't rust. It is easy to clean the blades in the shower, it only requires one quick swoop, it works in all areas (ahem,) and it DOESN'T NICK. I also love that I can replace the razor blades safely, quickly, easily, and without spending a lot of green. Thank god for this gem of a razor.

For those who started shaving way back when with a Gillette (or other brands) double-edge razor, this razor will bring you back to those days with joy and nostalgia. It's just like the old Gillette that was produced from 1940 - 1970. Or, if you have never shaved with one of these razors and enjoy tradition and basics, this might be a razor for you to check out.

I have been duped over the years by the advertisements and so-called advanced technology of razor companies so eager to attract users each year with a new and more powerful-sounding version of their preceding razor. And then there is the race for the number of blades on a shaving head that promise to give one an even better shave!

What a relief to find that the traditional double-blade razor and blades are still around. I get an even better shave with this razor than I did with the modern contraptions. I might be classified as a shaving geek, but this system has restored to me the pleasure of the daily shaving routine. I also recommend getting a mug, brush, and shaving soap to complete the traditional experience.

It is truly amazing. No razor burns, no bleeding and no need to use bandages. Very smooth comfortable shave. Use a Welshi safety razor; a good shave cream like King of Kings is a good addition and a balm rather than a alcohol based after shave and you have the ingredients for an a great shave. There is also a video lesson on the internet on to shave with a double edge shave and I would highly recommend watching this video. The forums on the internet give Welsi a high rating for quality, balance and gentleness. Many experts compare this Welshi to the old Gilette Super Speed only better in weight, balance and performance. A great engineered razor for the money. Also the travel case is nifty for trips.

I have been plagued with chronic acne and razor-burn all my life. Then I discovered the Weishi, and my life changed.

Now, I have a glow on my face and a skip in my pace.

I found the perfect birthday gift for my Husband!

In doing some online research on some of the shaving forums, it seemed that this was a fabulous entry-level razor. Between this and the Merkur (which was also recommended highly), this seemed like more bang for the buck!

He has only been using it for a few weeks, and no major injuries to speak of. I also bought him Clubman aftershave and shaving soap at the drugstore, and he smells like a million bucks.
