An excellent Backup and "Disaster" Recovery program!
There are MANY backup programs on the market, but only a handful provide peace of mind in the fact that they will do exactly what you want, when you want, supporting virtually all storage devices, supporting disk spanning, etc; all of this and more, leaving you with backups that will be fully readable and restorable when/if the time arises that you need all files, or just...

Backup Is Difficult To Configure
I bought Dantz Retrospect 7 Professional Upgrade because I wanted to be able to schedule reoutine maintenances. I thought I set it up but never got a backup except the first trial. The software does not list my Maxtor One Touch Drive as a backup device. You have to go to a "run" tab to run it. You can configure a macro to have it run with the One Touch Button, or at...

There are MANY backup programs on the market, but only a handful provide peace of mind in the fact that they will do exactly what you want, when you want, supporting virtually all storage devices, supporting disk spanning, etc; all of this and more, leaving you with backups that will be fully readable and restorable when/if the time arises that you need all files, or just that one file out of several hundred thousand recovered. Retrospect Backup Professional is one of those few that fall into that category. You can create an unlimited number of backup sets and catalogs, as well as an abundance of script options (that work very well) for having Retrospect perform fully automated backups and other tasks. The features of Retrospect Backup Professional make it easy for beginners to accomplish flawless backup and disaster recovery sets; they are also extremely powerful and well suited for the needs of professionals and knowledgable hobbyist alike. If you have problems, Dantz provides the user with tech support, as you would expect from any reputable company; they will help you install and operate the program, helping you get out of situations you may have created and making those automated task scripts work correctly for you. All in all, Retrospect Backup Professional Upgrade performs well, has powerful and numerous functions that satisfy the pro, yet also takes into account the needs of the computer neophyte. An excellent program!
