I have enjoyed having TOKIO HOTEL music. I discovered them months ago and I Love this song.....RETTE MICH (Rescue me)
I can't speak German but all their music is great. I am not a teenager either and I am just impressed that these 4 teens can rock like that. Rette Mich is a beautiful song and whomever gets this will enjoy THEMA #1 (Topic #1) Rumor has it they are making all their songs in English too and will distribute sometime 2007..........I will be the first to buy.... Don't just buy this one CD ==get all the collection you won't regret it and before you know it you too will enjoy singing in German...

Fabu Tokio Hotel Album,

The CD single of Rette Mich is really very good. The song is kinda angsty mellow, but not enough to be labeled "emo"; more like smooth and soulful. Even though the band members are still late teens-very early 20's, the lyrics are poignant without being overly flowery or just a whiney line repeated over and over again. There is solid substance to the music, both instrumental and lyrical.
For inexperienced US buyers, this is a CD single with a few songs and music videos, sung in German. The reason the cost is what we'd consider the average price for a "full" album of 12+ different songs is because it's an import. The tracks included in this album are: 1. Rette mich (Video Version) 2. Rette mich (Akustik Version) 3. Thema Nr. 1 (Demo 2003) 4. Durch den Monsun (Live Video) 5. Rette mich (Video) I'm unsure if the videos will pose a problem due to it being an import since I have a region-free DVD player that is NTSC/PAL format compatible. **Note that the Rette Mich MP3 downloads attached to this page are NOT from Tokio Hotel. It's some artist named Aliah. While he does sing in German, I couldn't hear any resemblance to the Tokio Hotel version (unless it's been jacked up really badly). Good thing I listened to the sample before trying to buy them. Rette Mich |
