Wow - I was SO excited to get this in the mail today! My hubby and I just watched it was I was so mad during it because it was probably the worst attempt of a good Britney DVD ever. It was horrible! All it was, was a stupid documentary of facts about Britney that every real Britney fan already knew about her.

There were times I did not know if I was watching a film about the history of Kentwood, the bashing of Madonna and how she uses Britney for her own fame, or a little bit of Britney's lip syncing bashing. I would not have paid a dollar for this DVD. It was very cheaply made and the people who made it should be embarrased because it will ultimately be an epic fail!!!!!!!

We the fans - wanted to see more BRITNEY behind the scenes and especially about more recent moments in her life - this DVD didn't deliver any of that. So with all of that said, don't buy it - you will regret it - massively!

This was a complete disappointment. I was very excited to watch this because well I love Britney Spears! But not even that love will ever make me watch this pointless video again. It was such a waste of time. The first thing that I hated was that they focused on stupid annoying people to answer the so called interview questions. I thought this was supposed to be about Britney not a whole bunch of morons and their opinion about her. It was all OPINION based, there were a few facts that every true fan already knows. And all the people that talked, they seemed to not even like her that much! They often had bad things to say about her and they would just laugh and say what they thought about her. The most annoying one had to be the guy who used the word "ironic" to describe everything that happened to Britney. It was just very poorly made with nasty graphics!!! This DVD is not even approved by the artist or anyone! DO NOT BUY IT PLEASE!! You will just hear the story about Kentwood and what annoying people think of her. Britney is only shown about 6 times for a few seconds saying a few words from past interviews. This is not worth ANY money. It was the most boring thingg. I could not wait until it was over. Please don't buy it, you're only giving your money to a whole bunch of dumb people that seem to not even respect Britney Spears.

So I purchased the DVD Britney: For the Record. Once completed Amazon gave me an offer to receive free shipping if my order was over $25. I noticed that this title was recommended. I read the review of the DVD an all the contents sounded very appealing. Britney interviews, performances, etc...anything and everything that a Britney fan would want to see. So my package arrives, I watch the Return of an Angel dvd and what a JOKE!!!! There are maybe two interviews from Britney early in her career, the rest are a bunch of no names that have no credibility. I was very displeased with this DVD. DO NOT BUY!!! I would have rathered pay for the shipping cost of the one DVD instead of purchasing this DVD for the free shipping...a waste of 57 minutes.

This DVD has no performances, no talks with Britney, and no video clips because it was not authorized by Britney or her management. When you watch this documentary don't expect to see entertainment like the ET channel or VH1 Specials. This is more of an in-depth analysis between a panel of people who have studied Britney's music and achievements throughout the years. This is exactly the same as Innocent Beauty but with different artwork on cover and disc.

There are no mentionings of record sales, or details on stardom except perhaps a few references to her videos, artistic performances and to her relationship to Madonna. Some were not too great and others were just effective criticism. Many fans may get offended because Britney wasn't praised or elevated. There were comments regarding the Madonna-Britney French Kiss and Madonna's role in Britney's then achieved musical re-inventions. Also, it was discussed on how Britney's role has been changing to include older audiences rather than the typical teenagers from her BABY ONE MORE TIME Era.

There are various clips of Britney photos, as well as chats with family neighborhood friends and acquaintances. Lots of talk was done about her hometown and how the city was very small and everybody knew everyone. It is obvious that the small town where she was raised is proud of her accomplishments. Much was said about her childhood years and how she began to pursue her dream even when her parents had declared bankruptcy and were in the verge of loosing everything.

Like I said, this was an in-depth analysis between a panel of people who claim they have studied her life. Larry Getlen was in the documetary and mentioned Britney's transformations from the cute American girl to the sexy diva goddess that men of all ages drool over. He has a book out titled Britney: Not That Innocent that may be of interest to some readers or fans.

Britney was compared to Madonna, Marilyn Monroe and other famous celebrities. There were repetitive talks about whether Britney will be "as famous" years from now. Furthermore, there were comments regarding how Britney's personal life may affect her long hard work by perhaps slowing it down to a degree. One commentator mentioned how Britney needs a strong ballad like Christina's BEAUTIFUL or Robbie Williams ANGELS to make her mark. Further remarking that Britney needed to have her music stand the test of time [say 10 years from now] by making her songs more like her first album or like her single TOXIC.

On the whole, when I watched this I was not pleased with the overall style. The talks were very long, with no worthwhile intermissions and it seemed like it was just too dull. If you are into having fun, or entertainment then this is not for you. But if you like to criticize, analyze, and just observe the comments of how other people see Britney this will be of interest. The menu has a trivia quiz, and chapter access. I would not recommend this for new fans but rather the must own everything Britney fan. For the real who Britney is I would say to buy Britney: For the Record. The other DVD titled, Britney Spears: Girls Are Always Right is simply a double disc with Innocent Beauty and Britney Spears Music Box: Biographical Collection.

I, like all the other reviewers, was so excited to get this DVD. I ended up fast fowarding throughout most of the DVD. There is nothing good about this DVD. I wish I could get my money back....can I? All it is, is random people talking about Kentwood, or bumping into Britney, or having heard of her before. It is by far the worst documentary I have EVER seen. It looks like someone took videos of 4x6 pictures and zoomed in. So disappointed, and even more upset that I spent hard earned money on something so terrible.

I was very excited for this DVD to arrive in the mail the other night, and I agree with all the other reviewers! What a disappointment. I have to be honest... I had a feeling this would be bad! I knew it wasn't an official Britney video. It was cool to see other people's point of views in bits and pieces, but it got old REAL quick. At times I was wondering if the people in the DVD were rooting for Britney or against her. Also, for a DVD that is releasing in May 2009, this only covers Britney's music career up to the "In the Zone album". Blackout and Circus are no where to be found on this DVD! Not worth it. The title is very deceiving, because this does not talk about her return although it honors it.

This disk is perfect as an advanced Quadrant Editor. It can be used as an extended, more complex editor, too replace the discontinued release from " Live at Las-Vegas ". These comments and opions will probably only make sense too " Advanced Professional Industry Editor's. Apologies to the less Specialised among us.

I ordered this DVD becuase it was the story of Britney, and I am a huge fan of hers. It's supposed to be about how she became a star and how she continues to be a star. It seemed like a homemade kind of documentary, interviewing just a few people who have followed her career. The main speakers seemed like they were not even supportive of Britney. In a way they put her down. One said she isnt a star because of her talent and her determination but because she was at the right place at the right time and because of the way she looks. Another guy basically said her 'Britney' album was a flop. THAT WAS ONE OF HER BESTS! & he didnt think she could come back from that. While watching this i was very frustrated with what these people had to say. They also kept showing the same pictures over again, like they only had a few pictures to put in the dvd! I even watched it on fast forward, still listening, and was super bored. They only got up to her single 'Toxic' and that's where the dvd ended! I was very disappointed. I suggest purchasing 'Britney: For the Record' Atleast Britney is the one you are getting the information from and you will actually have emotion while watching. Please don't waste your money on this DVD. Coming from a huge Britney fan: You will regret it.

This product is not as bad as the reviews say. I really like this movie! The only thing I didn't like about it was that there was a certain man they were interviewing and he couldn't get his facts straight! He kept saying "Something like that" and "I think". He also said that she started her career when she was 18 but it was really when she was 16, but other than that is was a really good movie and doesn't deserve the crap it is getting!
