Long Winded
I've read Troy Denning's books before and loved them so was looking forward to reading this trilogy. It started well but as I got to the end of the first book it was slowing down, I'm now trying to get through the second book and I feel that its long winded on the description when it should be moving the story along. If I had read the book from the library for example I...

The Return of the Archwizards trilogy is a critical work in the Forgotten Realms universe. Aside from being exciting and well-written, involving a truly epic scale without resorting to "Mary Sue" characters, the series studies the events leading up to the return of Thultanthar to Faerūn. Furthermore, the author's coverage of the climate-manipulation initiatives of the magocratic city-state are important if one is to understand the vastly different social, political, economic, and environmental conditions prevailing in the region in the Faerūn of one century later.
