Review

"I was absolutely charmed by RoseAnn's writing style.  Not only is she a strong writer of all things yummy (like humor, sexual tension, and heroes to sigh for,) she weaves a love story that will warm your heart. Don't miss Return to Audubon Springs:  It's a keeper!" - Writing Novels that Sell

"I loved this book!  The author has a gift for taking us into her world of Audubon Springs.  She writes with a true depth of emotion, one that has the reader delving into the hearts and minds of the characters.  I could feel the heartbreak that both Emma and Rafe went through in their past, and what they still carry with them." - Romancing the Book

From the Author

I love writing about that magical moment when a couple falls into serious DISLIKE, then the passionate dance of give and take filled with laughter, battles and tears on the way to a unique Happily Ever After.

My books are not just about the slips and blunders - those comedic, heartfelt moments of a man and woman falling in love - but about their families, friends and the community in which they live. I invite you to explore the Jersey Shore town of Audubon springs in my BROTHERS OF AUDUBON SPRINGS series.  Stop by the bakery for a scone, or drop in the bookstore for a romantic read before hitting the beach. Grab a boogie board and ride the Jersey waves, but be warned...like so many characters in my stories, you may find you don't want to leave!

Loved "Return to Audobon Springs." Funny moments, touching moments, great sassy dialogue! DeFranco's strength is dialogue, and it especially shines during "fight scenes" --and I don't mean physical fights, I mean the back and forth banter between the heroine and hero! I love a book with good side characters too, and just adore the hero's mama! Strong women, strong men, and strong mama's--what's not to love?

I knew I would love this book the minute Emma took a tumble into the shrubbery just as she's seeing former love Rafe for the first time in years. Emma's mixed emotions and Rafe's sexy confidence won me over and had me rooting for these two from page one. And I didn't yet know the delicious surprise in store, for readers and for the lovers in this sometimes breezy, sometimes comic, always sultry summer romance. Emma and Rafe had broken up due to her wealthy family's various plots. Her father, for a reason that eventually becomes clear, left their $7 million beach house jointly to Emma and Rafe. If Emma does not visit the place for two years, Rafe inherits all.

Rafe has made Emma's beloved summer home his own, but the terms of the will stipulate that Emma must live there for two weeks, and Rafe refuses to move out. These two clearly burn for each other, but each has a different reason to dislike, and in Emma's case, fear the other. Emma has a secret. When Rafe left her, he made it plain that he thought she'd never be a good partner or a decent parent. What Rafe does not know is that Emma has a child. Rafe's child. And she's doing a fine job of raising her little girl.

Emma and Rafe come from different sectors of society. She's loaded with family money if not affection, he's working class with strong family bonds. Emma has made her own way in the world and doesn't care about her family's wealth. What she does care about is Rafe's reaction to the news that she has withheld his child from him for two years. Will he ever forgive her?

This conventional plot device becomes new in the skilled hands of a gifted writer, and readers will nervously wonder right along with Emma what Rafe will do when he learns her secret. This is a deeply satisfying read that goes straight to the heart of what it means to be a family.

This is an emotionally packed story that had me enthralled with the main characters, being frustrated by them, wanting to shake sense into them, and alternatively loving them and feeling the pain they both were going through. What started out as anger, pride, revenge for wrongdoings and slights from the past, plus a battle over property, soon became a second chance at love. Then an awful truth was revealed and all hope for a HEA was dashed. It took a third chance, and maturity from both sides, to repair the hurt.
The author has a skill for bringing raw emotion to the page. There were several scenes where my heart ached, my throat tightened, and tears spilled. Excellent story telling. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

A contract brings Emma back to her family's summer home in Audubon Springs, but it's her big secret that shreds her heart. Ex-love (who is beyond-ohmygawd-sexy) Rafe is determined to make the half-house he inherited home, but can it ever feel whole without Emma?

I love a good reunion story, and this one was great!!

The sexual tension sparks off the page, but it's the heart of this story that kept me reading long past my bedtime. Can't wait to read more from this author.

This reunited lover book with a secret baby thrown in brims with passion, conflict and humor. Emma returns to a family beach cottage left to her as an inheritance with a big catch. She has to live there for 2 weeks a year and share the house with her very sexy ex-lover, Rafe. Emma tries to make Rafe leave by driving him crazy. Her ruse of being on a macrobiotic diet in order to drive him crazy had me in stitches.

The secondary characters, Rafe’s family, Emma’s friends, Emma’s mother and brother and especially the love child, Elana, populate this book with a rich, vibrant and realistic community.

Was not pleased with all the graphic sexual detail! I wasn't expecting it at all!! The storyline was great but the sexual parts could have been really toned down.
