A Spur Award-winning Author

Shea Glencannon squinted out into the sunlit glare of the street. Someone had called out his name. The sound of it was high-pitched, harsh and hard as gravel. The meaning of it was knife-sharp: Trouble. And that was all that Glencannon had found since coming home to Broken Crossing. When you had his kind of ornery reputation, you had to expect that your welcoming committee would be carrying drawn guns.

Available only in Wheeler Western 6.

Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

The twilighters are the desperados, rustlers, and outlaws who occupy a stretch of land on the Texas/Louisiana border in Loomis's 1955 Western. Unsuspecting cowboys and settlers pushing across the frontier often found themselves running the gauntlet in the twilighters' zone. A little corny, but, along with other new installations in the Gunsmoke line, including Wayne Overholser's The Bitter Night (ISBN 0-7540-8085-4) and Lee Hoffman's Return to Broken Crossing (ISBN 0-7540-8084-6), this will please fans of the genre.
