Big Boy Pete hits psychedelia bulls-eye this time,

This review is from: Return to Catatonia: The Further Adventures of Pete Miller (Audio CD)
Big Boy Pete (aka Pete Miller), also released an album called "Summerland," which has for some reason been labeled "psychedelic." While the music on Summerland is more like a slightly weird '50 rock 'n roll, Return to Catatonia has some truly trippy material. A couple of songs are obviously influenced by other artists like the Kinks and the Beatles. It also relies heavely on studio effects, like "mickey mouse vocals (Henry the Nut (part two))," but not without succes.
