5.0 out of 5 stars BEST BOOKS THAT I HAVE EVER READ!!!!
These are my favorite books. Even though they are a little easy, I really enjoyed them, and i got my friends inot them also. I was a little dissappointed though when Lief and Jasmine didn't fall in love. I thought these books had really surprising twists and turns that were unpredictable. This book was clearly the best out of them all, and I've read it 4 times so far. I...

You guys who wrote really great reviews, don't hate me, and Emily Rodda, don't hate me either. Please don't take me wrong, I think that this Series was extrodinary,I absolutely loved them, all except this one...Okay, you guys, before you get into raging fits on me, just listen.
First of all, since Leif was Jealous of Dain admiring Jasmine, how come nothing ever happens after that with Jasmine and Lief? Sorry you guys who hate Romance in a novel (And I know what you're going to say that this book shouldn't have that because it's for kids.) But I think that a little love in a book makes it fun to read. I was hoping that maybe Leif and Jasmine would end up married, maybe with some kids of their own. Second of All: I was really hoping that Jasmine would be the heir. Why does it always have to be the boy that is the hero? Why not Jas for a change, she is awesome, perfectly capable of dealing with the shadow lord herself, even if she is a little opinionated sometimes. Then She could be Queen, and since she would fall in love with Lief, then he would get to be king anyway! I think that this would have been a better ending.
Third of All: How come everything is so surprising, and everything is changed? I think that it is cool that Doom turns out to be Jas's dad, I even cried when he was remembering her. But Why does Lief have to be the heir, and Doom instead of being Endon, turn out to be Jarred? I thought that He should've stayed Endon, then Jasmine could be the Heir.

And Remember guys, This is my personal opinion, and I'm sure that you think different, so please don't hate my reviews from now on, I'm sure you're all really nice people, and if you like this series, I think that it would be fun to be friends, I have yet to meet someone who loves thee like I do.
Anyway, I only think that This #8 is lacking, I absolutely would give the others 5 stars, all of them. But if your life is the written word, like mine, You could find that This was a bit dissappointing. Though I do envy Emily, she is an amazing writer, and I hope that you don't think that I'm crazy or stupid or I write awful reviews. I loved the other 7, really I do!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Final Hour, September 3, 2005
This review is from: Return to Del (Deltora Quest, 8) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is most defenantly the best book of the series (at least the origanal Deltora Quests)! Others follow closly, but the end of the story and all the secrets revealed takes the cake! The climax gives just the right tone- choas and desparation. Excellent!

5.0 out of 5 stars Deltora Quest takes a turn for the awesome, April 3, 2004

It was when I was in 5th grade when I discovered Deltora Quest. It was actually one of those book order deals, where if you buy 5 books you get 1 book under 7 bucks free, or something like that, so I chose a combo pack of the last three books of the series. Maze of The Beast was good with all the original characters and creatures, but I think I felt a little bit lost. But once I started reading Valley of The Lost, everything started making sense. VoTL was great, but I never expected the final book to be so amazing. The thing I loved about Return To Del was all the unexpected plot twists. The only thing I could possibly complain about is the lack of battles (but hey, I'm battle hungry type of guy.) I was a little sad after the series ended, but luckily a year later the next 3 books came out. I enjoyed reading all 11 even more, after knowing the whole story. Even now, (...) I love these books more than Harry Potter or The Lord of The Rings. Really, I can't recommend this book enough, but make sure you read the other books first. And, unless this is the only book missing from your collection, buy the second hardcover book, which has the last four books in the first series for the price of two. If you shop around, you can even get it for about $5. Again, this is a great book!

My name is Andrew. I am 7 years old. (My daddy helped me write this.) I liked when the seven ak-baba swooped down from the tower. And then it was cool when Lief put on the belt and destroyed the Ols and drew away the ak-baba.

You should read this book because it is very interesting and you'll read about a lot of monsters and magic.

5.0 out of 5 stars A marvelous return!, July 10, 2005
This review is from: Return to Del (Deltora Quest, 8) (Mass Market Paperback)
Having all seven gems, our three heroes are on their way home to announce the heir, with seven chosen ones to guide them. Each chosen one represents a gem and together thay are the belt. The last book is a confusing and long book. There are betrayals, secrets, mysteries and hopes. All beleifs will be clashed as loved ones will be killed, and all may be lost. But this powerful and beautiful world will show its triumph as they pass the lake of tears, and it's deaths as they pass the evil city of the rats.Lief, Barda and Jasmine have many ideas on who the true heir will be.They search all areas, up in trees and down in tunnels, and also in the imperial palace.Where hope will be lost, hope may be gained in this thrilling book. This book concluded the whole series extremely well, and for once I was truly satisfied.

5.0 out of 5 stars Way cool book!, November 2, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Return to Del (Deltora Quest, 8) (Mass Market Paperback)
All the gems of the belt of Deltora have been found but now Leif, Barda and Jasmine must find the heir of Deltora and overthrow the Shadow lord. This book has many suprising twists and turns and never goes the way you suspect I was very suprised and pleased at who the heir turns out to be. I was also a bit disapointed and felt a bit cheated that Jasmine and Leif didn't fall in love I was hoping that they would but oh, well guess everything can't be perfect.

5.0 out of 5 stars Emily Rodda's series turns and twists in unexpected ways.., June 13, 2003
This review is from: Return to Del (Deltora Quest, 8) (Mass Market Paperback)
Who is the heir to Deltora? That is the question on everyone's mind. Only be careful...there's a spy in the Resistance, and it's one of the people you'd least likely suspect..
This book is great. I really like the way Emily Rodda keeps turning and twisting, never going the way you expect her to.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Return to Del, December 9, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Return to Del (Deltora Quest, 8) (Mass Market Paperback)
I think The Return to Del was an excellent book. The author of the story is Emily Rodda.I've read others of the series. In my opinion I think it is better than those. The characters of the story are Leif, Barda, and Jasmine. They completed the Belt of Deltora and they had to return back to Del. When they got back to Del they had to battle an Ol. An Ol is a person who can change into anything they want. They started the battle. But you have to read the book to find out what happens next. I liked this book because I like fighting and the book had lots of fighting. I would recommend for the age group 8+.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Return to Del (Deltora Quest, 8) (Mass Market Paperback)
I think this book was a cool because it was the last book in deltora and it featured some of my favorte characters from the other books and it had a lot of action in it. I just wish the ending could have been better when Leif puts on the belt.
