5.0 out of 5 stars Blaxploitation score meets gameshow theme for old-skOoL MC battle
The Baldwin Brothers are refreshingly creative, interesting and fun! The Baldwin Brothers are one of the rare bands that you can't mistake for any other act. If you like Ursula 1000, Pizzicato Five, Beastie Boys or Morcheeba chances are good that you'll like this album.

I saw them live in Detroit with The Supreme Beings of Leisure and Ben Neill. All of them...

1.0 out of 5 stars There's no place for electronica and house music in the rock world
It's not THE Baldwin brothers your thinking about. There's not even a Baldwin in the group. Which is good, because even the screw-ups in that family wouldn't want to be caught in this electronic/pop rock disaster. There's no place for electronica and house music in the rock world.

I saw them live in Detroit with The Supreme Beings of Leisure and Ben Neill. All of them were awesome (SBL played the xylophone live!) but the Baldwin Brothers stole the show!

For their first album the Baldwin Brothers recorded their live jam sessions and mixed "cooking with lasers" from those sessions. I don't know if they still use that method, but they rock, and that's what matters.

If corporate radio gives you the "shaft," you'll dig "The Return of the Golden Rhodes!"
