Moves the spirit in you,

We listened to this wonderful CD for hours on end this summer as we drove north from Sedona to the Grand Canyon and then up to Zion and Bryce National Parks. It captured the spirit of the South West and particularly the moving landscape of the Navajo Reservation. Now when we play this in dull old suburban NE- we are tranported back to those mystical days of our trip out to Arizona and Utah. Thank you for this wonderful gift!

Sacred ...,
This review is from: Return to Grand Canyon (Audio CD)
Return to Grand Canyon is a beautiful sacred album. It'll transport to spiritual and sacred zone. The tracks "Return to Grand Canyon" and "Flight of the Condor" are awesome. But, wait until you hear "Kaibab Forest": it is perfect, it couldn't have been done any better. It'll force you to close you eyes and make a connection with your higher consciousness and mother nature. I recently made a trip to the Canyon country in Utah and listened to this album while driving through the narrow and steep canyons. The effect was magical and I had to pull over frequently, close my eyes and submerge in the sacred zone. However, some of the end tracks towards in the CD don't fare well as compared to the first three. They seem like fillers and repeats. This is the only reason for a four star rating. This album is not an easy listening album. It qualifies as a sacred, spiritual and healing album.

I love this CD and this is the second one I am buying after the first one was badly scratched. Great music and sound effects.

This is the cd I'll put on if I want to relax, or need a push to get in a good mood. Nr 2 on the cd (Flight of the condor) is a definite hit for someone who likes Fantasy-books: you can close your eyes and picture the dwarves, elves and other mythical figures riding down into a canyon.. I love it!

This and the Original Grand Canyon are clearly the best of Gunn,

The best CD in this collection is the Original Grand Canyon CD. This "Return to the Grand Canyon" provides a different but contiguous direction of music with a moving underbeat and flutes, srings, and percussion creating a relaxing mood. The CD from start to finish is great, or also works put in a random mode with other instrumental CDs.

Nice, easy listening from Nicholas Gunn. Although, I think the Sacred Fire is stll his best work to date. Return to Grand Canyon does have it's moments. The latin flavor is a nice spice that takes this work from being standard to above average! Govi's guitar work on Horseshoe Mesa is a treat and the vocals by Peter Marmentini on the Greatest Wonder are strong and inspiring. I had to get a translation of the lyrics from a neighbor, it would have been nice of they would of appeared in the jacket. A nice listen for an easy afternoon!
