A Delightful Brain Teaser,

This review is from: Return of the Incredible Machine / Even More Incredible Machines (Jewel Case) (CD-ROM)
With me being a fan of Sierra and the original DOS version of The Incredible Machine, I had to get this one. I was not disappointed. With many new gadgets, better graphics, and fun animations, I was as pleased with this version as I was with the original. There are tons of puzzles to keep your brain working well into the night - and beyond! Puzzle fans will really like this game.

6 year old is fascinated by this program!,

Our six-year-old and his four-year-old brother have spent hours with this program. They love creating their own contraptions. We often hear them laughing with glee about the funny chain of events that they have created. The program looked complicated at first, but it has a very good set of tutorial challenges which teach you about how the various components work (gears, lazers, mandrils on conveyor belts, vials of nitroglycerine, etc.). Our six-year-old is now able to solve most of these challenges without any adult help. Not every child will enjoy this program, but if you have a youngster who is intrigued by technology and how things work, give this program a try. You may be surprised about how much they can learn from it at a young age.

i like this game - it's different from Crazy Machines in the way it's laid out. this game is certainly more geared towards kids, (i'm guessing, due to colorful graphics) and i think that's really cool. it gets them to think about things. it's a little different from Crazy Machines in that you get to make more contraptions. that being said, about the only thing i disliked about Incredible Machine is the irritating background music!!! the thing that i hated is that you can't make it play just one song throughout the entire game- it changes music throughout the levels and alot of the choices are very bothersome in my opinion. LOL
i like these types of games though because you certainly do get your money's worth in reference to the amount of gameplay for the money. all in all, this is a very colorful, thought provoking game, but i prefer Crazy Machines. ;)

These games are some of the best games that I've ever played to help you use your "problem solving" skills...

My son received this for christmas and we have played it recently. He loves playing his wacky contraptions game and these are similar games. The graphics are not as nice as wacky contraptions, but the "live" animals give it some humor. They were a good value for the fun.
