This review is from: Return of the King 6" Figure IV: King Aragorn (Toy)
The very fact that this figure exists gives a little something away about the final Lord of the Rings movie's ending, but that's okay; anyone could have found that out by reading the books. After doing his part to defeat the dark lord Sauron, Aragorn finally comes to his own, ascending to the throne as the true king of the city of Gondor, and begins a reign of peace that lasted for more than a hundred years in the land of Middle-Earth. Aragorn comes decked out in his kingly armor, with the sign of the White Tree emblazoned on the front, and seabird wings (a symbol of the house of Elendil) emblazoned on several other places on his garments. He wears the crown of Gondor, and for the first time, the face actually looks really, really good. (First time, meaning the first really good face among the other renditions of Aragorn action figures) The crown is NOT removable, I should mention. Included, of course, is the sword of the king, Narsil reforged, Anduril, the flame of the West. This appears to be the only version of the sword that made any attempt at the runes carved into the blade at its reforging, but I note that the symbols of the sun and moon at each end of the runes are not present. Also, perhaps this is an individual flaw, but the blade of Narsil is curved a little bit. I don't mean bent to side to side, I mean curved slightly, like a scimitar. Nevertheless, it's still a very fine reproduction of the sword itself, and it fits either in Aragorn's hand, or in the sheath that hangs from his belt. And of course, there is that silly "sword-raising" action button on his back, but thankfully it's a small one. Completing the costume is his long, royal cloak, which attaches to his back via a different method than usual - the cloak has two peg-like things at the top that are driven into two holes in his back. A little unusual, but it works very well to hold the cloak on. The only complaint I would have regarding it is the fact that it is actually LONGER than Aragorn's total height, meaning that while it aids very much in keeping the new king on his feet, it also makes him bending forward at a decided lean! So, since there have already been several editions of Aragorn, what makes this one special enough that you would want to get him? Well, the cool armor, the cool sword, and the awesome display ability of the true heir to the throne of Minas Tirith all make it worth a good buy. I recommend it for your collection.

This toy is pretty cool, but it's not my favorite. The sword slashing action is good and smooth. Also, being able to remove the cape is pretty cool. His armor is VERY cool! Even my mom (she's a LotR fan too)likes his armor! His Anduril sword fits nicely into it's sheath. Also, his sword's sheath is sooo cool looking. My figure can stand up pretty well, if you put his feet in the right positions. Overall a pretty good figure. If you're a fan of Aragorn, then you should get this figure!

Highly detailed and a nice change from the bizarre-looking Aragorn sculpts of the earlier 6" figures. Here he looks quite kingly and very gentle, even one hand held out in peace. (Which looks more effective when you sheath his sword, LOL!) Cloak is over-long as others have said, but if you have room to display him with the cloak propped back a ways, he can stand upright. Lots of nice details, even under his long mailed tunic, armor highly detailed. Narsil reforged as Anduril is also nice, tiny runes on the blade. A nice final addition to the tale.

OK. THIS ARAGORN IS DEFINITELY THE COOLEST I HAVE SEEN SOFAR. HE IS INCREDIBLY DETAILED AND LOOKS JUST LIKE THE ARAGORN IN THE MOVIES. HIS SWORD ACTION IS FAB, IT WORKS GREAT; THE SWORD SWINGS ABOUT 90 DEGREES FROM HIS WAIST TO HIS NECK. THE ARMOR PLATING IS THE MOST AWESOME FEATURE, AND ADJUSTS TO FIT THE POSITION HIS ARM IS IN AT THE TIME. AND HE HAS A REALLY SOLEMN LOOK ON HIS FACE, NOT MEAN LIKE THE STRIDER VERSION. I LOVE THIS FIGURE AND RATE HIM AS BETTER THAN MY OTHER TWO ARAGORNS COMBINED. THIS IS THE BEST ARAGORN TOYBIZ HAS COME OUT WITH YET, AND I WOULD GET HIM INSTEAD OF THE TWO TOWERS VERSION, WHICH IS ALSO VERY COOL, BUT NOT QUITE AS GOOD AS THIS ONE. FORGET STRIDER, THE NASTY LOOK ON HIS FACE LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE REAL VIGGO MORTENSEN.

I don't have very many LotR figures yet, but so far this is my best. Anduril (shards of Narsil) was a bit bent.Legolas & Gimli are my favorite though. I'm not sure how durable they are because I'm keeping them for collection purposses. I'm longing to play with them though!

He is a highly detailed figure and looks great. But when i compared him with my Arwen figure he is almost a head shorter than her and most of the other figures. but all around he is great he is very posable and looks great with his cloak, but his sword attack action is kinda stiff. Over all he is great!

Very cool figure, definitely! The articulation is great and the paint job is phenomenal. On other Aragorn figures the face was all wrong but this one rocked! A good investment.

I really like this figure. The detail is very good. The Andruil sword is neat. The blade has runes running from the top to the bottom. He looks very kingly. His cape is inserted into the back of the figure,It comes out kind of easily but he looks neat with or without it."
