A Tug At Your Heart,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Return to Manitou (Paperback)
A true story that all family members can read and hard to put down. Mixed up with some comedy, sadness but most of all. a pure determination of the spirit of the author. Takes you to a place she knows and makes you feel you've been there. I fell in love with Clifford too.Ms. Nancy Bailey is unafraid to put her all into this- Inspiring Recommend this one highly.

This Michigan author did it again! Nancy J. Bailey had my rapt attention and my heartstrings while I read "Return to Manitou". I laughed, I cried, I sympathized and I was amazed. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Clifford, Trudy, and and all her animals (as well as Drummond Island) will star in a third book. Just by being herself, never giving up and going after what she wants, Nancy is an inspiring lady.

A Great Sequel to Clifford of Drummond Island,
This review is from: Return to Manitou (Paperback)
Having just recently read "Clifford of Drummond Island" and throughly enjoying it, I was eager to continue reading more of Clifford and Trudy's antics, two lovable and commical Morgan horses. Return to Manitou doesn't disapoint. Nancy Bailey is a talented writer who writes honestly about events in her life, many unexpected, several heartbreaking, all leaving me wanting to read more. What I found most intriguing was the way that Clifford reacted to the loss of his beloved dog friend, Reva. It brought tears to my eyes and was a wonderful affirmation of how animals truly feel about each other. I also found it interesting reading about Clifford's clicker training performances, traveling about the State of Michigan and beyond, performing at various expos. Return to Manitou is a very enjoyable, well-written book.

Nancy Bailey Has Done It Again!,

This review is from: Return to Manitou (Paperback)
Return to Manitou is an inspiring journal of triumph over injury, personal loss and unexpected changes. Nancy writes with total candor while maintaining her characteristic sense of humor and ability to share so realisically that she brings the reader right there with her. Her two Morgan horses are pivotal in her healing, as well as providing many new and ingenious "learning experiences" that that make this book a delightful, entertaining, thought-provoking read.
Highly recommended for all Clifford fans, present and future! |
