Maya-Q'anjob'al from the Cuchumatan region of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Author, poet, painter, university professor, official of the Ministry of Culture of Guatemala, and a member of the Academy of Mayan Languages of Guatemala. Has lectured at universities in the United States.
