Editorial Reviews

"The dramatic adventures continue in the second book of hot new talent Reece's trilogy. Book two sets its sights on the founder of Last Chance Rescue, Noah McCall. Emotionally damaged by his horrendous upbringing, this hero has his heart locked down, but heroine Samara Lyons is no shrinking violet. Together, these protagonists play with life-and-death stakes, and danger emanates from every page. Take a walk on the perilous side ... you won't be disappointed! " - Romantic Times Magazine

"Return to Me is the type of book you will pick up and NEVER want to put down again. This is the second novel in this trilogy and Ms. Reece has written an amazing story of love, life, crime, and fighting for what is right. With a hero who is tormented by his past, we get to see how Noah is cold and calculating with the bad guys and soft and gentle with the victims. Samara is a tiny scrap of a girl who is mistaken for fourteen instead of the late twenties she is, and she goes about showing us exactly how tough she really is. Steamy sex scenes, intense fighting scenes, the sensation of struggling to survive, edge-of-your-seat feelings, and finding your true self make this mind-blowing book a must read story and made me a new fan of this remarkable author!" - 5 Cup Review, Coffee Time Romance & More

"The second LCR thriller is an exhilarating romantic suspense starring two kick butt champions in love." - Harriet Klausner, Merry Genre Go Round Reviews

I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
Despite his dark past, Samara sees good in him and falls in love with Noah anyway.
If you like action/suspense mixed with romance then you will love this series.

How nice! I was afraid I would have to wait for book three to get Noah's story, but "Return to Me" delivers with all the suspense of "Rescue Me" with Noah as the hero. I had to go looking for Reece's bio, wondering if maybe she has published under another name. The good news is, this trilogy IS her first published work/s and she's already got another one (trilogy) set for publication in Feb, Mar, and Apr 2010.

Noah is the head of LCR (Last Chance Rescue). It's his baby and the only thing he lives for. He set up the organization to atone for his perceived past and even though he rarely acts an operative, he still knows every man and woman he's recruited and trained to help those who can't help themselves. But his latest case will pit Noah against a criminal he's all too familiar with and one he's not sure he can kill.

Samara thinks Noah is the MOST arrogant and irritating man she's ever met. Sure he's gorgeous, but then he opens his big, fat mouth and infuriates her! She knows when a man is attracted to her, and he IS, but she gave him his chance and he blew it. So what is he doing tracking her down now? Sure, he needs her act as bait and save young teens from an online predator. Samara knows she couldn't live with herself if she doesn't help, but having to live with Noah may be too much of a price to pay. Then the evil comes closer than either of them thought, and both Noah and Samara will have to face their fears together to win.

Noah, Noah, Noah. What a yummy, heroic, and STUPID man! That's my only negative for this book. How can such an intelligent man continue to harbor such delusions? No matter how I tried I just couldn't make that fit with Noah's other characteristics and that bugged me throughout the book. Other than that...

YEAH!!! I was so excited to get Noahs story. YUMMY!!! Ms Reece has not disappointed me. This is a great 2nd installment to the series. Noah and Samara's story was every bit as good as Eden's. Noah has enlisted Samara's aid in taking down the bad guys but the plan doesnt go down that way and Samara is taken hostage. OMG, what a twist with plenty more in this romantic suspense. I read this one all the way through and was just as pleased when I reached the end. I didnt want the story to stop. Ms Reece is on my to buy list for future books. This story does not let you down.

It took me a while to finally start reading the second book of this trilogy and I have to say, it's only because the content and violence is a little heavy when you're looking for a little pick me up. The series revolves around an organization called Last Chance Rescue and each and every operative these stories are written about has had some significant trauma, ie rape, torture, abuse, that has given them the determination to turn their lives around and help others in the same predicament. That being said, the people they are out to save are also victims of horrid abuse and fates worse than death. That by no means detracts from this well written novel but if you're looking for a light suspenseful romance, this is more of a heavy, sometimes exasperating but also satisfying reluctant romance. It is fine as a standalone novel, however if you can read Rescue Me first, it certainly will introduce the characters and additionally speaks towards the two main characters of this novel.

Noah McCall is the founder and head of Last Chance Rescue. He's driven by demons from his past and as a result, created his organization to rescue women and children from impossible abuse scenarios that the legal authorities can't help or have given up on. This time, Noah is chasing after a sexual predator who's been kidnapping teenage girls met on the internet. In order to crack down on this case, he enlists the help of Samara Lyons, Jordan's ex-girlfriend from the first novel. Samara is the perfect person to help him pull off this case because she's a smart independent woman who just happens to look like she's 15 years old. It's the perfect cover for capturing this predator, but the only problem is that while working on the case, he can't help his attraction to her which is a big no no on an operation.

Since I gave the first book in this series 5 stars, and I quite possibly liked this 2nd installation even more, I wish I could give Return to Me 6 stars. There just isn't anything in this series that I see as a weakness. The characters have a depth to them that is not always found in books these days. There is a LOT of drama, a bit of suspense, and just enough humor to provide the complete package. I love that the main characters from the first book make a significant appearance as well, and there is enough information about Ethan to get us excited about the third book, coming out later this month. Highly recommended!

First thought when finished: This was beyond fantastic! I loved every thing about it!

What I Gave it a 5: There was not a thing about this book that I didn't adore. I was emotionally invested in the characters, the case, and the outcome for everyone. I immediately wanted book 3 and was so glad that I had bought the entire series! If you like action/suspense mixed with romance then you will love this series. Be ready for some hard-headed, stubborn characters though :)

Final Thought: Get this series if you haven't read it! Seriously, it is that good!
