About the Author

J.M. Sloderbeck has been a writer for almost 20 years, and spends far too much time collecting random bits of stories that refuse to tell him how they end. He is a father, avid reader, and owns far too many computer games. J.M. lives in the American Southwest. You can find him on Twitter at "@JMSloderbeck." His blog can be found at http://jm.sloderbeck.net.

More About the Author

J.M. Sloderbeck (b. 1981) is a writer who knew he wanted to be a novelist and story-teller since he was in grade school. He still has the very first fantasy novel that was ever bought for him as a child -- The Sapphire Rose by David Eddings, which holds a very proud place on his shelf. Born in Pensacola, FL, J.M. has lived in five different U.S. states (so you just know he doesn't move around very much), and currently resides in the Southwestern U.S.

Return to Neverend is a fascinating story that allows the reader to look into what happens after the child's happily ever after. The author uses familiar characters to create a story of grief, bitterness, and finally reconciliation. You can never go home again is a known saying, and Return to Neverend shows that you can go home, it just won't be how you left it. I felt like it was a little slow in the beginning, but once the story progressed I fell into a world that was as comforting as it was entertaining.

Return to Neverend is an easy and enjoyable read for young readers, as well as adults. The author does a fantastic job of fleshing out the characters and unraveling the intertwined relationships between them. With a wonderful mixture of home-hitting dialogue, lighthearted humor, and tension-filled scenes, this author truly offers his readers the opportunity to step into his fantasy world and join his characters on their emotional journeys of self-discovery and love. I definitely recommend this book for newcomers to fantasy fiction. I also highly recommend checking out the author's short stories. They are equally entertaining and well-written.

This book is very entertaining. It has a great plot and character development that draws you in and just the right amount of humor without being overdone. If you like this, you might enjoy the Magic Kingdom of Landover Series by Terry Brooks. That's what this book sort of reminded me of. What a great find at $0.99 and it appears this is the author's first novels. WOW! Good luck to him in his future writing endeavors.
