This is an excellent album. Randy is truely one of the many excellent singer-songwriters. He knows how to tell a story in song. He is also a tastful guitar player. It's sad to know that just because your considered a christian artist....you don't get any real press. This album is one of the best all time christian records..or any record for that matter in this style. His name should be known and it's sad he hasn't been featured in acoustic guitar magizines. Just down right pitiful and negligent.
This album is also produced by the late Mark Heard-another truely gifted songwriter and producer. Check out his stuff. Everything said about Randy can be repeated about Mark.
-Carry on brothers. Our reward is not on this earth.

I bought this CD back in 2001 prior to a Stonehill performance. About a month ago I rediscovered it and now I like it more than ever. I was shocked when I looked at the copyright and found it was released in '89 - it doesn't sound dated at all. I agree with the other reviewer's statement that Stonehill is underappreciated. The other day my wife and I were listening to it on a trip. She commented that she couldn't believe he played in that small Tucson church back in 2001, i.e., given his talent, he should be playing in much bigger venues. I agree but I'm glad he seems willing to minister to anyone anywhere. He's the real deal both musically and spiritually. Now I'm going to buy this CD for my brother...

This is probably his best album since his Solid Rock days! Randy goes mainly unplugged here and came close to matching his the artistic success of "Welcome to Paradise" and "The Sky is Falling." (Say what you want about Larry Norman, but his production on Randy's albums was second to none, except for the background vocals on "Good News.")

After saying that, here's to Randy Stonehill, possibly the best singer-songwriter in CCM history!
