Bruce Rowland outdid himself with his follow-up score: Return To Snowy River, Part II. It is more mature, richer and greatly in touch with the events on the screen. This music demonstrates scoring for feeling rather than for effect as much of his original score reflected. This is a very good soundtrack and I recommend it.

Bruce Rowland is a modern marvel. His sonatas are absolutely beautiful. I played them one evening with a large crowd of friends, and everyone with an ear for fine music wanted to know who the composer was. These soundtracks somehow capture the scenery and beauty of the Australian alps, and may I be so bold as to say, even the spirit of love.

An incredible movie has incredible music!! Im only 19 and I enjoy it in the car wherever im going. Worth every penny!

You can practically see the mountains of the movie in this soundtrack. We own the sheet music as well for playing on the piano, which is sweet as well

This is a magnificent, evocative Soundtrack which captures a vivid mental picture of the beautiful Australian Snowy Mountains. Highly recommended.

I own both of these movie cds, "Man From Snowy River" and "Return To Snowy River". My complaint for this one is the same as the first one: the cd jacket. On this one, there are only two pictures from the movie and the rest of the information is on the company that markets these "re-released" cds. Like I said before, I like to have as much information about the movie as possible on the cd. So, in that area, these cds are kind of a bummer. But...the music is still just as awesome and I really like the different styles of music that are thrown into this second soundtrack. I think that they had fun with this one.

The music is great! Straight from the movie! I love listening to it and recalling all the parts in the movie where it is played! Definately worth your money! 'Long Way From Home' is sooo good! And 'Gathered to the Fray', sounds just like the movie! It's hard to rate this without saying, "Watch the MOVIE!!"

This music is beautiful, what else can I say? If you've seen the movie and loved it, then definitley get the soundtrack -- it brings it all back.

Bruce Rowland has a way with combining instruments that almost tells the story without watching the movie. This was a great follow-up to "The Man From Snowy River" and the music reflects the continued theme. Australia's majesty is revealed here!It also includes snippets of "Waltzing Matilda", which was written by A.B. "Banjo" Paterson, the author of the original "The Man From Snowy River" poem the first movie and the sequel were derived from.

I bought this CD recently, although I had seen the movie long ago. This one has more variety of instruments and the types of music. I love both soundtracks; both are absolutely brilliant. I cannot stop listening to it; it's so good! I can remember where in the movie each number was used. My favorites are 'Long way from home', 'Return to Mountains' and 'Farewell to an old friend'. The latter is 10 minutes long, and very satisfying. 'Alone in the mountains' is very moving. Jessica's Sonata number 2 is lovely. I wish it was longer. The Eureka Creek number and the Pagent at Harrison's are different types of music and they add to the variety. 'By the fireplace'is another short but sweet number. I can visualize the scene. The music when the horses are running is as exciting as in the first movie. I have enjoyed listening to this sound track very much, and I have come to love Bruce Rowland's music as a result. It's a 10 in my book.

The two pictures inside the CD cover are beautiful. I wish there were more.
