This review is from: Return to the Stars (Mass Market Paperback)
I found this book in the late 60's a couple of years after I read Edmund's The Star Kings, which totally enthralled me. But, I was really disappointed in this one, mainly due to the difference in writing style. RTTS was more modern in style. The space opera from Star Kings was gone. It seemed like it was written by a different writer. It was decent adventure though. I will try again. No other book ever compared to Star Kings since. Some come close, like Childhood's End, The Gods Themselves, Ringworld, The Mote in God's Eye, The Forever War, Dreamsnake, and others.
