In my opinion I think that K.A. Applegate could be losing her touch. Out of all of the Marco books, which are mostly the books with the humor in the series, this one wasn't that funny. The story lost my interest through several parts, and the heavy drama in it was highly uncommon with Marco. It got too serious, which I'm not saying is bad but can get boring sometimes! However the plot was good, explaining what happened to Visser One after book #15 (read it to find out). I would still recommend this book, because you'll end up wondering what could happen next.

This book is one of the better books of the series. I definitely know that because I've read the whole series and I'm just overwhelmed. I wish that they had a section on amazon for the whole series's in general. The story line is good in this book and it shows Marco's ability to see the line from A to Z clearly. And involves Visser One, whose books I simply adore. Even though there wasn't that much comedy in this book it was well written and it is good to have a serious book for a change. I would definitely recoomend this book to everyone. I love K.A Applegate's books, especially this series but I also like Remnants. All in all this series is the best.

In this book Marco skips school one day and goes downtown. He sees his mother wearing a wig and he decides to follow his mom/Visser One. He morphs a fly once inside the building but gets thrown around in the air condishiner. Later, Ax, Tobias, and Marco morph cockroaches and investigate more. They find out that Visser One is now a sub-visser and is living in exile on earth. They find that the normal office that it appears from the outside is a holagram. Inside, Visser One is swimming in a privite Yeerk pool, and Marco's mother is chained to it. Visser One wants to destroy the free Hork-Bajir colony and the Animorphs can't let that happen. Read the book to find out what happens next!
