This is a hell of a Reunion for real............,
By A Customer
This review is from: Reunion (Audio CD)
Cnn once again baby. First off the single Phone Time is a banger and can't be messed with, and Invincible with Primo on the boards is just straight heat. Capones raspy voice and his delivery is just straight ill, and I am not a huge Noreaga fan but he is good on the hooks for this album. Other highlights on the album are Nas on B Ez where he drops a Illmatic type verse, and Mobb Deep hold it down on the Queens Finest song. Straight Like That, Brothers, You Cant Kill me are also ill cuts for the album. Is Cnn back kid you bet ya, and this deserves to be high on the albums of the year list in 2000. Reunion is not a raw as War Report, but then again not much has been since they dropped that classic in 97. Go pick this up if you like thugged out stuff like Mobb Deep and Nas, but if you are not into that type of music well then this is not for you at all. Bottom line is if you like War Report and Prodigy or whoever from Queens cop this you wont be dissapointed.

CNN IS BACK,
By steve (puerto rico) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Reunion (Audio CD)
Now that Capone is home CNN can shine together again. After the classic 1997 debut, "The War Report", I was happy CNN released another album I got it the first day it came out. Damn this was good. It has tight beats and rhyming from both the deep voiced Noreaga and the funny voiced Capone. I'd have to say this was as good if not better then "The War Report". The lyrics are awesome too.Carl Thomas brings soul to "Intro: Change Is Gonna Come" and "Phonetime" is a great conversation between Capone And Noreaga over tight beats. "Queens", "Invincible", and "Bang Bang" are OK but "Y'All Don't Wanna" is really tight. "Straight Like That" is OK but I love "All We Got Is Us". "Brothers" is also OK but Nas and CNN shine together on "B EZ". "Gunz In Da Air" is OK and "Wet Willie Skit" is funny. "Full Steezy" is OK but Mobb Deep and Algado & Shoballotti dissapoint me on "Queens Finest". "You Can't Kill Me" and "Don't Know Nobody" with Musaliny-N-M.A.Z.E. are a great way to finish off a classic album. If you like rap or hip hop or R&B, screw it, if you like any kind of music cop "The War Report" and "The Reunion" NOW because they are classics and gems.

Excellent Reunion,
By Tom Robinson (Havana, Fla.) - See all my reviews

This doesn't top the classic War Report, but it is an excellent album. Although Phonetime and B EZ are probably the most well-known songs, Brothers and Queens Finest are probably the top tracks. Other good songs are Invincible, Bang Bang, Gangsta Skit, Straight Like That, and Gunz in Da Air. The only tracks that needed work were You Can't Kill Me which had poor production and Don't Know Nobody which was okay. Both Capone and Nore get solo joints as well. Capone goes solo on Full Steezy which is similar to his solo joint Capone Bone on The War Report. Nore goes solo on Gunz in Da Air. There are some terrific guest spots by Goldfingaz, Troy Outlaw, Nas, Mobb Deep, Final Chapter, Foxy Brown (who disses Lil Kim's verse on Mobb's remix of Quiet Storm), Musaliny, and Maze. There is also some good production by LES, The Alchemist, DJ Premier, Kyze, Nokio and Kenya, Jewellz, EZ Elpee, Amaretto, T-Lo, Mr. Fortune, Havoc, SPK, and Lord Finesse. This did not top the War Report, but The Reunion was one of the top 10 hip hop albums of 2000.

Another C-N-N Classic,
By
This review is from: Reunion (Audio CD)
After their classic debut in '97, over 3 years later and another stint in jail for Capone and the commercializing of NORE I didn't expect them to come back with this much fire. I was totally wrong. This album is as good as "The War Report" and it may even be slightly better -- both are classics and great CD's. Guests are all fellow Queens rappers (Mobb Deep, Nas, Thugged Out Clique). There is a lot more Capone on this one then their debut which is good, and on all the songs both rappers are on them (except Pone's solo) unlike the first album. This one has more classics than the first (5) but a few more songs that are just average (4) but the other songs are very well put together and are good or great songs. Production is handled by many people but they all do agood job, especially DJ Premier (as always). A must have classic album for the true hip hop headz.
#3 - 9 (convo w/ Nore & Pone when he was in jail) #4 - 10 (Classic -- f/ complexsion -- great relaxing beat) #5 - 10 (Classic -- great beat by DJ Premier) #6 - 9 (f/ foxy brown) #7 - 9 (Capone solo) #8 - 9 (great beat by Nokio of Dru Hill) #10 - 7.5 (f/ final chapter) #12 - 7 (f/ troy Outlaw {R.I.P.} & golfingaz) #13 - 10 (Classic -- f/ Nas -- great beat) #14 - 7.5 #16 - 10 (another Classic Capone solo) #17 - 7.5 (f/ Mobb Dee & final chapter) #18 - 10 (Classic - 2 verses by Pone -- good beat) #19 - 8.5 (f/ maze & musolini -- about not knowing anything unlike all the snitches out there today) NOREAGA --- Victor Santiago -- b. GO COP IT!!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Reunion (Audio CD)
This is Queens at it's finest. I seem to find this more a of Capone Welcome Home album. These are beats that were meant for Capone to rap to. Noreaga lights the album up too, but this was more of a Capone album. On "Invincible", Noreaga spit rhymes like: "my guns is bilingual, you see my shit speaks Spanish/dissapearin' acts, make your whole team vanish. And on "Straight Like That", he also talks about what the Source Awards when he was there. He says: "fuck Camry, fuck Honda Accord/ i rob niggas like the crips at the Source Awards/ everything that went down, was cool wit' me/ as long as I came back wit' my jewelry/ you haven't seen guns?, i think we had two or three/ wit two or three limos/ me and my nigga Timbo/ and bitches that suck nuts and spit it out the window/ see my tempo's like bloody money three". Everybody who appeared on the album were a big help on why i gave it five stars. All i gotta say is to GO COP THAT SHIT!!!

Capone n Noreaga top the CNN report,
By A Customer
This review is from: Reunion (Audio CD)
Capone and Noreaga set if off with this record. It is their first album together since the war report, and it shows over that time, that these two artist still know how to hold it down. Basically all their tracks are hot, especially "Invincible", "Queens Finest", and "You don't wanna" This album has guest like Foxy Brown, Mobb Deep, Nas, and others. This is definetly an album you must have!

Albums with no skip songs are automatic 5 star albums. Aside from that its got many songs that if you were out running you'd definitely sprint too. Its a perfect album and its not only perfect, but its a long album too. I highly reccomend Capone-N-Noreaga's The Reunion.

The Best Capone N Noreaga ALBUM In CNN HISTORY!,

I can give this whole album 5 stars because it brings back memories. SUPER DUPER GOOD MEMORIES. And if it dosen't bring good memories to you. Then you're not a Capone N Noreaga fan. I first heard a interview about Capone and Noreaga being in Jail. They viewed they're real names. And that's how I know them. And this boy had the nerve to say this to me; Mind your own Business. I told the boy, I WANNA KNOW! I then knew about Victor and Kiam. And after that. The War Report Came and I was like this. Are those the same niggas from Queens jail? Oh my lord. I got to get their album. And I knew they be raw. It's great to have someone on yourside. Like me having my Young Cousin Joe and Styles having Jadakiss, and Ja Rule having Irv Gotti, and not to mention, 50 Cent having Eminem and Dr Dre. Enimen and Dr Dre are great. 50 Cent. BORING! Tell that garbage to Vivica A Fox. Okay. The Album rating.
1. Intro: Change Is Gonna Come (With Carl Thomas) 2. Phonetime Skit (A Classic Conversation with Capone N Noreaga: This is when Noreaga was in Jail) 3. Phonetime (This song got me dancing and everything and I LOVE IT. Newark ****) 4. Queens (With The Complexsion) (This song reminds me of Yoshi crying when he gets defeate) (Rhthym and Beat Jamz) 5. Invincible (Shoutouts to DJ Premaire, this is a GREAT BEAT) 6. Bang Bang (With Foxy Brown) 7. Gangsta Skit 8. Y'all Don't Wanna (Oh no, No! NO! Noreaga and Capone are too nice on this one) 9. Shows! (Interlude) (What's happaning here, get the Album) 10. Straight Like That (With Final Chapter) (Now this is the song right here. THIS IS THE SONG! Shoutouts to Cannabez, Can it Be?) 11. All We Got Is Us (To my nigga Troy Outlaw, I found out too late in Early 2005, but you still that nigga. R.I.P. and Golfingaz) 12. Brothers (With Nas) (Great Beat and I was Freestyle off of this one too) 13. B EZ (I like the Flow to this song, GUNS IN THE AIR) 14. Gunz in Da Air 15. Wet Willie Skit (Very Funny Regardless) 16. Full Steezy (Capone) (This my favorite Capone Solo Song on this Whole Album) 17. Queens Finest (With Mobb Deep and Final Chapter) (MY FAOVRITE SONG ON THIS WHOLE ALBUM) 18. You Can't Kill Me 19. Don't Know Nobody (With Maze and Mousolini (or Musalini) (This is a Very Creative Song and it's about the Tricky Snitches out there that gets the Drug Dealers or Gang Killers in Trouble, yall all know what a snitch means right? Exacally) Noreaga -- Victor Santiago -- Either September 6, 1976 or September 6, 1977 The Bronx, NY and then moved to Lefrak City, Queens, NY (I thought he moved to Jamaica Queens) Capone -- Kiam Holley -- Around Late 1977 -- Queensbridge, NY
