5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful as Gaither work always is!
Coal Miners Daughter is really missing out on a blessing. These songs are new arrangements of Gaither classics and I guarantee you'll be uplifted even though they are not new songs. Having Michael English & Mark Lowry back is the best thing that ever happened to the Gaither Vocal Band, and the addition of two wonderful tenors like Wes and David add magic. Bill Gaither...

3.0 out of 5 stars So-So-Hum-Hum
Let me preface this review by saying I am a huge fan of The Gaither Vocal Band. The best thing, and maybe the only really good thing, about this cd is getting to hear the voice of David Phelps again. He is definitely back in his element. Listening to it only reminds me of the huge void left by Guy Penrod. Nobody, not even Michael English, comes close. I would buy it...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD!! Excited for the next one!, January 26, 2010
This review is from: Reunited (Audio CD)
This new 5 man group is great! Though all the songs are remakes, they are wonderfully revived for this new group. Classics like "The King is Coming," "Worthy the Lamb," and they everlasting "There's Just Something about that Name" are all masterfully recreated by these five artists all for the glory of "The ONE." What an amazing album! Highly Recommended!

ENJOY and be Blessed!

This is an awesome cd.To see some of the old members back together and singing the songs previously recorded by other members that were in this band, I thought they did a wonderful job and their voices blended in well together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous!, September 15, 2009

I have to respectfully disagree with the previous reviewer. I was so thrilled to see these wonderful singers back together and am so moved to hear all these old greats again. I probably wouldn't have purchased it if it had been new songs. Thank you, Bill and the guys.

I would buy it again, and will recommend this cd, but it's just not on par with the quality I am accustomed to from the GVB.

For those of us who love Michael English, it is a wonderful cd. I don't agree that it was put together quickly. All the old loved songs are on there. For what Michael English has gone through in his life, he deserves to be singled out. David is good, but so are all the rest of them. I really love this cd as well as all of the performers. Just enjoy the singing and what you experience when you listen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome as Usual, October 25, 2009
This review is from: Reunited (Audio CD)
I enjoyed the concert in Nebraska.I try to go to everyone that has David Phelps. I talked my daughter into going and she enjoyed it, too. She did say that she thought that DP made the show. "He owns it." "Course I've always thought that. I enjoy piano music but thought that it was a little stretched out.Mark and the rest of the comedy was very enjoyable. I hope to see some DVD's of that group.Keep up the great work. I am a HUGE DP phan and hope to see him there awhile. Thank you for a wonderful Spiritual evening. As for the cd, it is wonderful. I can actually hear Bill singing. It is my 2nd favorite Gaither album so far. No. one is "The Best of GVB" [...]

I am pleased with my purchase of this cd. I wish it had more peppy gospel songs on it, but I'm still enjoying it.
