It just might be the thing...,
A Kid's Review
It's a LOT more comfortable than the disposable pads: when it's dry, the fabric next to your skin is pleasantly soft and not scratchy. It stays put where it's needed, and won't slide around on the bed. It's a lot less likely to feel clammy in warm weather. And it doesn't make that tell-tale crinkly pastic noise. When it's damp, the fabric helps to wick the moisture away from your skin. Plus, it's eco-friendly, if that's your deal: fewer pads in the landfill is good, right? Just take care to wash it well: make sure it's not crowded into a load with a dozen pairs of jeans, or it's not gonna get clean. Yecchh, especially if you put it away even the slightest bit damp. I've got four.

This review is from: Reusable Bedpads - 34x36 in, absorbs 1000cc (Health and Beauty)
These bed pads are excellent quality, washable in hot water with bleach, and are very comfortable to sleep on. The alternative, disposable kind tend to bunch up and slide, are noisy and are bulky when disposed of (not environmentally friendly), although they can be handy. These are very economical if bed pads are needed often, and are handy to have on hand when picking up kids after they've been swimming, or to put down when a guest needs to change a baby's diaper. These are an extra measure of protection (chair, bed or carseat) for mild urinary incontinence. I recommend buying two or three so you always have a nice fresh one available, and checking out the different sizes available to meet your needs. The price is very competitive, as they sell for much more elsewhere. Compared to disposables, these are an excellent value for the money, and are a real time saver considering the effort it takes to completely change bedding.

An Early Opinion,

We've had these pads for only a few days, but so far we find them greatly superior to those disposable landfill-jammers we've been using. These are larger than the disposable, and very soft and strong. Occasionally our "family member" would soak a disposable and require a bedding change in the middle of the night, but so far, the Blue Max can do. They're strong enough that they can also double as a pull sheet, and they wash up great. An easy five stars.

I've used these for a few weeks now so I'm confident I can give a knowledgable review. They cover a very generous area on the bed and when you have a bed ridden individual they can scoot up and down the mattress more than you would think so this is important. This pad gives superior coverage of bed area. Also they wash really well which gives them good durability. Highly recommend.

I purchased this for my wife who has dementia and is incontinent and in adult diapers. I received the product and used it the first night I had it. In the morning the areas around the pad on side to middle of bed and at the head were soaked thru to the mattress pad. The blue pad did not leak but the material was not absorbent enough to contain the urine and it just channeled it to the sides and onto the extra pad I had placed underneath and also onto the sheet. Bottom line it may be fine if a person is only damp but I would not recommend it to anyone in a situation such as mine. I have been using a similar brand I was given. It is not quilted, is very soft, and very absorbent. Only problem I do not know the brand.

Blue Max is the max!,

These pads are wonderful. They solve more problems with incontinence than anything on the market. They can be used by caregivers who have responsibility of taking care of elderly. They can be used in baby cribs, in chairs where incontinent persons sit.
There are several brands and varieties of reusable waterproof bed pads on the market, but we have had better luck with the Blue Max. We will continue to buy those. We have washed these over and over and they show no sign of wear. These will continue to be the ones for us.

I was skeptical about the low price, but gave it a go. They wash up without shrinking, absorb and remain soft. Great buy. They are strong too, If your patient is small enough, you can use them for a lift sheet.
