I purchased a set as a gift and a set for myself. They met "gift-quality" expectations. They arrived a few days before Amazon's estimated arrival date with a free tote and a CYMA pen. The plastic inserts fit perfectly in the bottom of these bags. They carry well and look great. The hooks on the back work well for hanging the bag on the grocery store bagging hooks.

To get an idea on the size, it is about the same size as the average paper grocery bag, but with nice handles for easy carrying. I recommend these bags.

Update March 2009: Since writing this review I have found that these can be machine washed and come out quite nicely. I have had no problems with pilling and all 6 bags are still as good as the day I bought them. I love these bags and would happily buy them again.

I used the bags for the first time today and everywhere I shopped people commented positively on how nice they are. They were shipped quickly and exceeded my expectations. They worked very well for groceries (they include a hook for the plastic bag dispenser) and for other shopping needs. The price is reasonable and they pack well. Oh, and CYMA included a gift as well!

I couldn't tell online if these bags were the plastic feel or the soft bags because both are polypropelene. These are the soft kind and they're great. They even have a removable plastic insert to go in the bottom of the bag if you like.

My quest to do my part to reduce waste and live in a more environmentally friendly way made me long to ditch the plastic shopping bags once and for all. However, I had always been a bit reluctant because it seemed everything I saw by way of reusable bags was in small canvas tote form. I wanted something that would be practical in that it would hold a lot as well as something that would wear well. After reading the positive reviews for this product, I decided to take the plunge.

Am I glad I did! Not only was the shipping unbelievably fast, the product itself is great and the vendor included a complimentary hot/cold insulated tote, which I very much appreciated. I was immediately impressed by how large the bags were. As at least one other reviewer has noted, they are about the size of a paper grocery bag, which means they hold far more than plastic bags. I also find them far easier to organize than plastic grocery bags because you can organize your purchases neatly within them and not worry about things falling out and rolling around like they do with loose plastic bags. The plastic insert gives them a nice, sturdy bottom, and the handles make them very easy to carry. I loaded one up with several 2 liter bottles and found them much less of a burden to carry than the plastic bags--no nasty handles cutting into my hand. All in all, I am very pleased with the quality of the product and glad to be reducing my plastic bag consumption.

I bough 3 of these sets and divided them up for christmas gifts. I gave away the solid ones and kept the printed ones. Everyone loved them, and even used them right away to move their christmas gifts they got! They're really durable and have a hard plastic insert for the bottom, which is great! They're really nice, one person actually got complements at the grocery store!
This is such a good deal, you shouldn't hesitate to buy them!! And you will feel better that your helping the environmet, and not using plastic!!

I wasn't sure about these bags because the Acme ones at reusablebags.com looked better, but they were SO much more expensive. They were $14 for ONE and here you got 5 + a hot/cold one for $10. I decided to try them out as they were only $10. I'm so glad I did! They are very sturdy and hold A LOT. I'll often underestimate how many bags to bring to the grocery store and then get worried that I will have to fill a few plastic ones - but in reality everything fits in the bags and a few times I've even had 1 bag left over! They hold a lot more than you think! I haven't tried the hot/cold bag yet so I can't say on that. I go home right after the store so I usually don't need it. Anyway, I've filled a whole grocery cart full of stuff in 5 bags, so don't worry. They're sturdy. I get compliments on them all the time from the cashiers - 1 said she loved the purple and wondered where I got it - apparently most bags aren't as colorful as these. For the price and the quality they are DEFINITELY the best! :D

These were exactly as desribed on the website and by the other reviewers. The perfect size (like a paper grocery bag), good handles, a loop that will go on the plastic shopping bag rack. They look like excellent quality. And the company ships quickly. How can you go wrong.

I bought these bags because they were more attractive than those sold by my grocery store and because they didn't have advertising logos. However, two of the bags split at the seems after only a few uses. Also, the insulated bags made by the same manufacturer are flat - they hold very little and do not have square bottoms - not so good for groceries.

After scouting the internet for attractive, reusable bags, I finally decided on these and ordered 2 sets. They arrived very quickly and I have already used them twice. I love that they hold so much more than a regular plastic bag and they are much easier to carry and organize in the trunk! Even my husband commented on how much better they are. I am totally happy with my purchase and look forward to "saving more bags" in the future by using these!

I contacted the manufacturer of these bags and found out that they are made in China, one of the worst polluters on the planet, not to mention one of the worst abusers of human rights. How is that "green"? Sure, you'll not be needing any of those flimsy, reusable, multi-use plastic bags they give out at the grocery store, but what are you supporting?

How about some "U.S. economy-friendly" products, Amazon? They would help our world, and our country, more than any unethically subsidized ChiCom product. The United States is one of the world's largest developers of green technology, so any help we can give to our economy can help our entire world. Buy more "Made in the USA" to save the planet.
