Just purchased this product for our office. I was looking for melamine plates for everyday use that could withstand the dishwasher. This plate has a matte finish and seems very brittle. I only purchased 1pk to check the quality out before purchasing more. I would not buy this again. The only good thing is that its cute and looks like paper plates but the surface is horrible.

I bought 12 of these plates and love them. They've been washed in the dishwasher numerous times without showing any signs of wear or breakage.
I would definitely buy them again for the novelty factor alone. There is also a version for picnics that comes with its own tiny embedded ant, but I passed on those!
