Ordered this to retrofit the kitchen in our new condo. Hinges are very smooth and have a satisfying movement that softly clicks into place when the tray is open. The stainless steel tray is thin but looks great. Be sure to order a tray width that leaves room for the hinges on either side - I ordered the 28" tray for a 32" panel and it fits perfectly. You'd never know this wasn't part of the kitchen's original design. There are very detailed instructions for measuring the hinge placement, but with a little patience and a small level the job isn't too bad. Took about an hour. A 'stubby' Phillips screwdriver came in very handy for screwing the panel to the hinges (not much room to maneuver if you've already got the sink installed). If you don't have one, I'd say this is almost a necessity (along with a drill, a tape measure and a level).Overall very, very pleased with this. Based on some other reviews, I was a little nervous about the quality and hinge design when I was ordering, but this is EXACTLY what I wanted. Couldn't be happier.

This is a great product. Hinges working fine after 1.5 years constant use and no hicups.Sombody mentioned this was "supposed to be made of stainless steel" but it then rusted. Not sure where people get this idea that stainless doesn't rust. It's rust resistant, but it's still made of iron. As a pullout in front of the sink people are tempted to put dirty wet things in it, these will cause it to rust over time. If you leave the screws that mount the tray a little loose it's easy to pull out and wash and dry every week or so, if you do that you'll prevent a lot of potential rusting. I recommend you let your little thing dry a little before storing them, and that will make it go even longer. That said, plastic will probably work just fine for a sink pullout, and you woulnd't have to worry about the idea of it rusting, even better just find some of that cool rubber liner stuff and put in the bottom.

This product was supposedly stainless steel. After several months rust developed and now, after one year in service, it looks worse than the plastic item it replaced. Be warned.

I like this product. The installation was pretty straight forward. The hinges are a little on the flimsy side. But overall I like it.

I found this little project pretty easy to install, you just have to double check your measurements before you drill and test fit everything before you tighten the screws!
