Book Description

November 18, 2007
The REVEALER took a decade to write, but a lifetime to experience. Dr. Omar has been on a forty-year treasure hunt. This scripture expresses her sentiments perfectly, "The kingdom of heaven (dwelling place of God) is like a hidden treasure in a field, which a man found and covered up; then in his excitement, he goes and sells all that he has and buys the field," Matt. 13: 44. This is a book about sacrifice and accomplishment. The scope and content of The REVEALER affords the readers the opportunity to take their spiritual imaginations to a depth never before fathomed.

The REVEALER is probably the most important book to come along in a hundred and fifty years. No other publication quotes from the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the Quran all in one breath and ties together their understanding of God. Dr. Omar explains in plain terms how the One true God is able to fulfill the prophecies of all of these great books and more. She not only explains how God first manifested Himself, but also how Jesus was both the Father and the Son - without contradicting any denomination. "I took a year off in 1966," the author states. "The rest of my life was spent in my quest to understand God." "Who cares about an autobiography of an obscure woman from Northern Minnesota?" she has been asked. Her unflinching answer was always the same, "This is not a book about me. This is a book about God."

About the Author

Dr. Beu'lah Mary Omar, born Mary Lynne Humeniuk, was a middle-class, mid-westerner, who in the 1969 at the age of twenty-five, felt that there must be something more and went in search of truth and an accurate understanding of God. She spent many years studying the Bible and several other holy books. Her search took her to a mountaintop in India, inside of the great pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and a hillside meditation in Delphi, Greece. However, this is just a portion of Dr. Omar's extensive study and experience. She trained worldwide and joined many major religions, such as Jehovah's Witnesses, Born Again Christians, Buddhism, Judaism, and Islam, to name a few. Some religious paths were not as well known, such as the Church of Religious Science and the Metaphysical Institute of Higher Learning where she earned her doctorate. When Dr. Omar studied, she didn't just learn about a religion, she learned the doctrine and became the religion, for however brief a period. She was on a sacred mission and she was unrelenting. Her mission accomplished, she now shares her story with you in her book, The Revealer The Layman's Guide to Understanding God. After having spent the majority of her adult life in Southern California, Dr. Omar felt led to move to Buffalo, Wyoming to write this book, an endeavor that took her over ten years. Upon completion of the book, the author resides in Tennessee with her husband, Zar.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, successful search for truth!, June 3, 2010
This review is from: The Revealer: A Layman's Guide to Understanding God (Paperback)
This autobiographical tour through many religions, by a gifted soul who searched diligently for whatever light each religion offered, contains a bonanza of truths distilled from forty years of investigation. Dr. Omar's integrity in following her life's mission path is impressive. We could all benefit from taking time out of our hectic rat-race lives to ponder what our Creator expects from each of us individually. We will have to return and report to Him someday, and Dr. Omar goes a long way toward pointing out the path to find Him. She was blessed from birth with a spiritual sensitivity which few of us have, but we can use her example as a role model to tune in to the Infinite. -- Dr. John P. Pratt

5.0 out of 5 stars heartfelt wisdom on her journey of life, February 26, 2009
By
This review is from: The Revealer: A Layman's Guide to Understanding God (Paperback)
Any Seeker of Truth will find great wisdom and insights within the pages of Dr. Omar's heartfelt biography. I felt my connection to God and my own Divinity deepen as I experienced the world through her eyes. The author beautifully weaves the teachings and spiritual truths from many of the worlds religions and cultures into a cohesive connection to God. It is a comprehensive overview that educated me on many different levels.
It's a long book, well written and the kind one can snuggle up,read and ponder. I felt I knew her and anticipated her personal discoveries along the way. It's obvious that much time was taken in it's creation and I believe that we can all benefit by sharing in her experiences.
Worth purchacing- excellent find!
